Barcud Cottage is one of three beautiful converted barns enjoy an idyllic and peaceful location on a hillside with stunning views over the valley and Carmarthenshire countryside beyond. Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales and the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney (a garden lost in time) are just over 2 miles away.There is superb fishing in the area too with the river Towy providing excellent Salmon and Sewin (sea trout) fishing, whilst for those more active the cottages are located between several excellent mountain bike trails. Golden Grove village is about 1 mile from the cottages and Llandeilo, the ancient market town, is about three miles. Llandeilo is situated in the heart of the Towy Valley and has an interesting selection of individual shops, galleries, pubs, delicatessens and eateries.You can also enjoy a fabulous woodland walk straight from the front door or explore one of the many castles in the area. The owners keep rare breeds sheep on the surrounding farmland. This really is a great location for exploring West Wales and these charming, well appointed holiday cottages make an ideal base. Ground Floor Entrance is into the light and airy Kitchen/Dining Room with views over the valley. The KITCHEN is fitted with a range of Oak units with a granite work top, it also has an electric oven with a ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave oven and washing machine. The DINING area has a dining table with 4 chairs. The SITTING ROOM is L shaped and has an attractive arched window and exposed stone walls. It is furnished with a corner sofa unit and a comfy chair, coffee table and a 37' wall mounted plasma TV with DVD/CD player. There are two en-suite bedrooms, both have 3' zip'n'link bed which when zipped make a 6' super king size bed. BEDROOM 1 is downstairs and has a super king size bed (please indicate if required as two singles), bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing chair and an EN-SUITE BATHROOM comprising a white suitebath with shower over, WC, heated towel rail and wash hand basin. First Floor BEDROOM 2 is approached by a flight of carpeted stairs from the sitting room and leads to a gallery area which in turn leads to the bedroom. It is furnished with 2 single beds (please indicate if the super king size is required), bedside tables, dressing chair and wardrobe. There is an EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM with shower cubicle, WC, heated towel rail and wash hand basin. Garden & Parking The grounds are open plan with attractive planting and lawned areas, not fenced off. Each cottage has its own private patio to the fore of the cottage with lovely views and furnished with a sturdy picnic bench and a barbecue. There is ample parking space for two cars. Other Information There is oil fired central heating throughout, this is included from May to September and charged at a flat rate of £35 per week at all other times, please leave your payment in the cottage at the time of your holiday. Electricity is included. WiFi enabled. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Towels are included in the rental. There is a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. One well behaved pet is welcome. More
