Our stay at Portimao
Absolute delight staying at Ivone’s lovely apartment. She was very welcoming when we arrived. Beautiful balcony, wonderful kitchen and the pool was a massive plus. I couldn’t recommend this apartment anymore!

Ivonne was very accommodating
Even though might flight got changed and due to late landing I missed my connecting flight Ivonne went out of her way to accommodate me. I was supposed to land on the 29 th and get there that afternoon. Instead I landed on the 30th and didn’t get there until 11 at night. I happily paid the €20 late fee and she was there to let me in and show me the secure parking for my car. The location was great, only a 12 minute walk from Praia de Rocha beach . Restaurants and a super market.

How to get there
The main international airport of the Algarve is near the town of Faro which is approximately 70km to the east of Praia da Rocha. The Faro airport is a major hub served by many of the major European airlines and all of the low cost airlines have flights to Faro.
There is very limited public transport from Faro airport to Praia da Rocha and the journey is very time consuming, requiring two buses and a train journey. It is advisable to pre-book airport transfers and a shared transfer with a mini bus or coach starts from 30Euros while private transfer will be around 60Euro.
