This is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment located in a gated urbanization on the outskirts of an Andalucian village. Set within well tended gardens and having a beautiful pool area the apartment sleeps 2 adults and one child in an English divan with microcoil mattress and a good quality single “put-me-up”. There are split air conditioning units to the lounge and bedroom giving cooling for our hot dry summers and heat for the cool evenings of winter. A rear patio and small garden are accessed via patio doors from the bedroom and offers morning sun and welcome shade during the hot afternoons of summer. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with cutlery, crockery, a range of pots, pans, oven dishes and storage containers. The lounge has access to a spacious private front terrace which enjoys afternoon sun and is equipped with a charcoal bar-b-q, table and chairs for “al fresco” dining and sun loungers. The shared adult and toddler pools are open all year whilst the beach is 10/15 minutes walk. On the beach from April to the end of September there are 2 chiringuitos (beach bars) serving drinks, tapas and meals throughout the day and evening. The area has something for everyone, white villages, historic cave houses and buildings, horse riding, diving and of course, golf courses. Reputedly the best course is Desert Springs, (frequented by the likes of Ian Botham and Daly Thompson) which can be reached by car in just a few minutes. The apartment is 15 minutes from the A7 motorway giving easy access to either Almeria, Alicante or the new Murcia Corvera airports. The village has all the amenities you will need for a relaxing break and if all you want to do is relax then a car is not a necessity. However, we do recommend a hire car if you want to explore the area as public transport is very limited. When booking flights or planning your travel please remember You can arrive and depart at any time between 10 a.m and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. Weekend and arrivals on fiestas have restricted meet and greet hours. Please get in touch before booking if your travel plans include weekend or out of hours arrival. About the neighbourhood
Unlike the more commercialised Costas the North of the Costa de Almería has yet to become a victim of over development. It remains a low key area, traditional, with well maintained beaches offering excellent facilities. Beaches range from long sandy stretches to isolated rocky coves. You can visit historic white villages, partake in a complete range of sports, enjoy the fun of the aqua park (June to September) or simply relax. If you're looking for bright lights and fun fairs it's definitely not for you.
Getting around
Public transport is very limited so if you want to explore the area a hire car is recommended. However, if you just want a relaxing stay soaking up the sun the apartment has 2 private patios, an excellent pool area and is only a 10/15 mins walk to the beach. You'll find all the amenities you need 5 mins walk away in the village centre.
