A 19th Century estate cottage in the heart of Puddletown village, it lies 12km from the coast in the midst of 'Thomas Hardy Country'. The cottage is beautifully presented and is comfortably furnished with plenty of outdoor space.

I stayed for four weekday nights with my mum. We absolutely loved this house. It was warm, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The position was perfect for many attractions and offered a peaceful environment. I would visit again

Great cottage for exploring Dorset and surrounding area, well equipped and very clean, everything we needed for our stay including dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave and Wifi if needed. Pleanty of room to park 2 cars in parking area, nice secluded garden with BBQ at the back. There is a well stocked shop in the village and the pubs around the...

Sleeps 4/5. The property offers two bedrooms; one double and one kingsize bed. There is also a foldaway bed available for a 5th person or if 2 people do not want to share a double bed. The bedrooms have stripped pine floors with the back bedroom overlooking the beautiful cottage gardens at the back of the house. The upstairs bathroom has a powerful shower (no bath) and there is an additional toilet downstairs off the utility area. The lounge has an open, coal or log burning fire, a 2 seater and a 3 seater sofa with the original Dorset Blue Lias flagstone flooring. Puddletown is centrally located in Dorset - 31 miles from Lyme Regis to the very west and 19 miles from Poole to the very east. It has a thriving local shop with Post Office, butchers and other fresh produce. The cottage is situated just off the main square and from the back of the house you can see the12th/13th Century church - St Mary the Virgin. A short amble past the River Piddle takes you to the highly recommended gastro pub â??The Blue Vinnyâ??.

It is located to the north east of Puddletown forest where there are good walks and a walk of 2 miles along forest tracks will bring you to Thomas Hardy's cottage.
