We had a great stay in Pleasant Hill. It’s close to the train station and shops so everything you need is only a couple minutes walk away. The hosts Chris and Frances were really friendly and super helpful. They had baked brownies for us to have on arrival and were always available for any queries or help needed. Including offering us lifts back from the local Tesco to avoid carrying shopping bags. They let us adjust the check in and out times to suit us and even took our bags before check in and after check out so we could go explore comfortably which was great as we were a big group of 17. The house itself is well equipped and spacious while still being warm and cozy. The hot tub was a great addition even in the cold weather as it kept us all warm. I would definitely recommend to any groups and would definitely stay again!

Wedding Bliss
We rented Pleasant Hill for 5 days to provide accommodation as well as a base to host wider friends and family for pre-wedding celebrations and festivities. Milngavie was well located relative to the main wedding venue. But is a beautiful town and PH is in a fabulous location for any cause.
The website gives a great indication of what we might have expected. But the place just blew those expectations to bits.
The open kitchen, dining, reception room is a magnificent space for accommodating large groups, and also hosting larger parties - between house and garden we easily hosted 60-ish for one event.
The bedrooms are very comfortable. What little sleep we had between functions and celebrations was very restful. Though we were "only" 13 plus 2 children, PH would easily accommodate 20, and Chris is very helpful with options on layouts.
What made our stay particularly amazing though were the hosts. Chris was helpful throughout. Once our booking was made and the reason known he was pro-active all the way, with suggestions and recommendations for catering, things to do, local transport, private coach hire, musicians, entertainers, etc, etc, etc. We've rented property of all sizes, every grade, and all over the world - Chris and Frances stand out in a world of their own as hosts. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Hopefully we will have a cause to return - or we'll just make one up

Pleasant Hill Hen Weekend
I honestly can’t praise Chris enough for making our stay so welcoming and personal. Pleasant Hill was the perfect place for my Hen Weekend that I shared with 16 friends. It’s a spacious, clean, cosy house that would be perfect for any family event or weekend away with friends. When we arrived, Chris had kindly already sorted our ASDA delivery and we had some home made cakes waiting on us. The hot tub is an amazing addition to the house. I’ve already recommended this location to another bride as it really was perfect. 10/10. 🙂

Hen party
Had a great weekend for a hen party, garden is huge and easily fit 13 girls learning a 90s dance routine! Plenty space in bedrooms, could comfortably fit 18 people I would say. Host left plenty of supplies for us, including brownies. Just be careful of noise as the house is on the street. Walkable to town centre with great pubs and atmosphere, but the house is big enough that you don’t need to leave at all!

It has been a torrid time for everyone during these 'lockdowns' and - even beyond standard cancellation terms - we have tried our best to accommodate everyone's substantially changing plans (usually by offering alternative dates). Our aim is not only to ensure guests have a good time whilst at Pleasant Hill, but everyone should also feel they have been fairly treated. In this case, we look forward to making sure Lorna's group feel warmly welcomed and enjoy their stay even more so.

Wonderful in all aspects
Throughout having to postpone due to quarantine and the difficult logistics of organising a large group, Chris was absolutely wonderful. Calm, courteous, professional at all times with understanding and warmth. The place and location are perfect, and I would not hesitate to rebook, or deal with Chris again in the future!
Have no qualms about booking yourselves in, you're in great hands!
Thank you so much.

Great and well needed break with a wonderful backdrop, made easy by the Owners professional but accommodating style
Due to last minute change in travel plans to Europe, we found this gem of a place, which was very spacious.
Well appointed, warm and homely, in lovely surroundings, minutes walk from the Towns shops and restaurants.
Communication with the owner was prompt and efficient throughout.
Despite the weather we were able to relax and unwind and enjoyed numerous visits to Loch Lomond

Fabulous villa
We are a family of 13 person
We enjoyed our stay at pleasant hill villa for 3 nights with 6 bed rooms ,it is only 3 minutes from Milngavie centre and Tesco .
Chris was very kind and helpful since first minute when we arrive we found a big dish of Delicious brownies made by Francis, it was really nice welcome by them .
Chris advises us where to go second and third day and we did a nice trip to botanic garden, riverside museum . Loch Lomond , balmaha, and balloch , the last two area is really worth to visit especially the area around balloch castle .
It is really not enough to say many thanks to Chris and Francis For their Interest and for the big and clean villa they offered us since it is really big enough for us with 3 bathrooms . They prepared plenty of dishes in case you have a party , plenty of towels and chairs . The trampoline in the garden really good quality and was nice for children .
I am sure I forgot to say many things about Chris and our stay but all my family was really happy and enjoyed their time , will back again next summer . In addition to all that there is a small area for playing football just in front of the villa and we enjoyed playing their .
I am sorry Chris if I forget to rate what you deserve
Goran just remind me about the clean rooms and the bathrooms , the dish washer was helpful as well .
More than big thanks to Chris and France for every thing they offered

Lovely house in a great location
This house has everything - lots of space, big garden, and friendly ambience. What's more there's spectacular scenery, interesting days out and the bright lights of Glasgow all on the doorstep. The owner went out of his way to make the stay a success. Children and adults alike had a terrific time. Thank you!

Located in a luxury garden suburb, 20 minutes drive from both Loch Lomond and Glasgow city centre or a 1 minute walk to an abundance of local amenities including independent shops: crafts, delis & grocery stores all within the traffic-free village centre.
Easy and pretty walks via West Highland Way to nearby Mugdock Country Park and around Milngavie Reservoir. [Milngavie hosts the water reservoir (with its beautiful walkways) for Glasgow, and is within easy range of Loch Lomond & Loch Katrine.] Guests are rewarded with stunning panoramic views, especially sunsets.
Getting around
Milngavie itself is a lovely pedestrianised village 6 miles from the centre of Glasgow. What makes it such a most desirable area is that it sits on the edge of beautiful countryside yet has the benefit of being well connected to other parts of Scotland by road and rail. There are 4 trains each hour into Glasgow city centre, each taking between 20-25 minutes. The town is also close to an abundance of transport links - eg. ROAD (M8, M74, M77, M9), plentiful rail connections (eg. direct train to/from Edinburgh), airports (GLA/EDI) and ferry terminals (eg. Greenock/Gourock/Stranrar).
