Farmhouse -
2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4
Malpas, Cheshire, England
The Farmhouse Wing is set in a beautiful location on the Cheshire/Shropshire border on our working Beef and Sheep Farm. We have lots of other animals on the farm, including pigs, hens, horses, sheep dogs, geese to name a few. We enjoy allowing our guests to get up close to the animals and allowing them to engage in farm life ie collecting the eggs, feeding the baby lambs, helping feed the calves their milk. For this reason, we have lots of families returning year after year for their annual holiday. We also attract couples wishing to get away from it all and have a peaceful break but in a great location for Chester and it's many attractions.

Farmhouse Wing his is a completely self-contained part of the old farmhouse, that has been modernised throughout. The farmhouse dates from the 17th century, and has all the... Read more

We had a family wedding to go to in Chester so decided to book self catering accommodation instead of spending a long weekend in a hotel room with my 2 year old son, so glad we did! We stayed in the Farmhouse wing which is lovely and cosy but still very spacious, a home from home.We were welcomed with a...

Stayed for 5 nights in the cottage just off the main farmhouse (can't remember the name) and had a lovely experience. Very cosy and made good use of the log burner. The cottage was great..kitchen and particularly the living room were fab. The kids loved Sam the dog and now everytime they hear a dog bark they ask if it's...

We stayed in the farmhouse wing with two young children, it was a fantastic base for our holiday with all the facilities of home. The rooms were very well maintained and spacious. The whole family were wonderfully friendly and could not be more helpful. The garden was very well equipped with toys for the children to play with. Sally Ann...

About the neighbourhood
Malpas is a lovely little town just minutes from Millmoor Farm. It is set high up on a sandstone ridge with a picturesque church and castle mound. There are great views over the Dee Valley into Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire, just yards from the High Street. There is a newsagent, post office and town small supermarkets (both stay open until 10pm), plus a farmshop, bank, café, restaurants, pubs, gift shops, pet shop, electrical shops and grill works. Millmoor Farm is also on the Marches Way footpath and we have even designed two circular walks to do on our farm. The sandstone trail is about a mile away and we are also situated just off the Cheshire Cycle Route. There are several National Trust properties to discover in the area, including Erddig and Little Moreton Hall. However, the... more
