The Barn Cottage (sleeping 6) is one of three rental properties at Les Courlis and can be booked with the neighbouring apartment (sleeps 2) and the Farmhouse (sleeps 8). It's an absolutely wonderful barn conversion, renovated with care and attention to detail with private terrace offering lovely views over the countryside. It's a perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility. It's situated 10 minutes away from the Dordogne Bastide town of Eymet with weekly markets, numerous bars and restaurants and less than 5 minutes the market town of Miramont de Guyenne in the Lot et Garonne. There's a small, but well stocked, supermarket in Eymet and a larger supermarkets in Miramont de Guyenne for all your needs, plus all of the local shops and markets. About the neighbourhood
The region is generally considered to be the gastronomic centre of France. The area is renowned for its duck, foie gras, chestnuts and local farm produce and there are many excellent family run restaurants. Wine trails spread out in all directions offering the opportunity to visit Chateaux and buy direct. St. Emilion and Monbazillac are a short drive away and worthy of a visit.

During the summer months many local villages hold fetes and 'soirée gourmandes' (live music accompanied by food and wine from the surrounding farms) - the closest is La Sauvetat du Dropt (2 km away). Look out for the Medieval festivals in August.
