There is a free shuttle from the airport to the Grand Luxxe.
A rental car is not required however a car rental will give you the freedom to tour the area, find those special places to eat, visit ancient Mayan ruins and to shop and those hidden beaches. And there are tours you can book from resort.
It is only a short 29 mile/30 km from the Cancun airport on Federal 305. Can provide experienced advice on driving, what all to see and do and any other questions you might have.
