This was our fourth time staying at Swallow Barn, this time we spent a week including Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We cannot recommend swallow barn highly enough, it is a very special place to stay, especially to get away from it all. A really clean, well appointed and cosy barn. Attention to our comfort showed in the generous hamper of food and essentials provided. Excellent value and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would love to return!

Swallow Barn is a truly lovely little barn conversion in a truly lovely rural location. It has been beautifully designed and decorated, and very thoughtfully equipped. The owners, who had left out a range of little luxuries and useful staples for us, gave us and our dog a very warm welcome when we arrived - even though we were unavoidably...

Swallow Barn lies in the small village of Low Ham - close to the historic town of Langport and the market town of Somerton, both of which have tea rooms, restaurants and public house offering good food and friendly service.

The fisheries at Somerton and the lakes at Thorney offer a relaxing days fishing or maybe you prefer a quiet day golfing at nearby Wheathill or Long Sutton golf course.

Local attractions include Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey.

Local sporting attractions include Wincanton and Taunton racecourses providing top class national hunt horseracing , as well as thrilling 20/20 cricket at the County Ground Taunton, the home of Somerset County Cricket club.
Getting around
We are in a rural village approx 1.5 miles from Langport so a car or form of vehicle is recommended.

There is a bus service from both Somerton and Langport.
