This is a beautiful villa and extremely private with well kept grounds, set within sprawling olive groves. We went as a family of 4 with our 2 boys age 11 and 15. The Villa is extremely well equipped inside the house with everything you need in the kitchen with an open plan lounge, air con, soft seating, dining table, tv, breakfast bar, 3 large bedrooms and more rooms if you are travelling with a larger party and WiFi. as well as all the leisure activities outside. The swimming pool is very large and well maintained with a sun lounger area with shade. The sports court is fantastic with tennis equipment, football goals, badminton and basket ball facilities. There is a also a fun zip line and a boules area. There are loads of bats, rackets, footballs, inflatables, basketballs etc with pumps for inflatables and a pump for the footballs and it’s all floodlit.
If you have younger children there is a playground with Astro turf inc swings, see saw and Wendy house.
There is a covered activity area that includes a pool table, table tennis, table football, darts board and a bbq area, all with outside lighting. The bbq area is fully equipped with an outdoor fridge/freezer, sink, cupboards and oven hob. Plenty of seating available in this area. We called it the ‘pub’ and it kept the boys and ourselves entertained for hours.
In the area we were only a 3 minute drive to the local traditional town, Ardales, which has many restaurants, bars, cafes, 3 supermarkets, petroleum station, cash points and a beautiful square to eat out. There is also a museum and lovely church set in a large rock which the town seems to be built around.
Only 10 minutes drive the other way ia the lakes area, El Chorro with plenty of safe water sports inc Pedelos, kayaks, paddle boards and a massive inflatable course for the kids. All available with life vests. The charge was around 20 € for grande pedalo and 10€ for kayaks. There is parking and a kiosk for drinks and ice creams and some sandwiches. A couple of restaurants near by. If you feel adventurous you could do the Caminito Del Rey walk along the cliff face, I chickened out, but looked thrilling, check it out on you tube.
We took a trip to Puerto Banús around 40 minute drive, but very easy with good parking. Very expensive but great day out at the marine with a bite to eat at Jacks Smokehouse.
Our host Jose and his family were amazing. Bought us some traditional Spanish breakfast on Sunday morning which was lovely. Jose is very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful and always available via WhatsApp if you need anything. He maintains the property very well and looked after all of our needs.
We fell in love with the resident cat Dama and her beautiful kittens, the boys loved her, but if you don’t like cats that’s no problem, as she looks after herself quietly and never bothers anyone and doesn’t need anything.
This Villa is highly recommended for families, plenty of local activities, well equipped and maintained, a paradise. We loved it so much we have booked again for next year.
