About the neighbourhood
The centre of Argegno with some very good restaurants and bars is on walking distance. Argegno is very well positioned and is superbly connected by bus and ferry to the rest of the lake but also to the rest of Lombardia. It also connects to an old glory mountain resort with incredible rustico restaurants, called Valle d'Intelvi. There is a cable car in Argegno so you can see the best views ever and hiking and biking are at it's best. The village itself has superb restaurants and bars and is one of those ancient italian villages one can only dream of.
Getting around
during your Holiday I can recommend you: - to explore St. Moritz and the Engadina by Bernina Express. Bernina Express in one of the most spectacular ways to cross the Alps that links up regions with different languages and cultures. This is not a rack railway and the train winds its way gently through splendid scenery. One of the highlights is the panoramic journey through the UNESCO World Heritage RhB. - tasting tour experience: food & wine tours in Piedmont, northern Italy, where some of the finest Italian wines are produced – Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera to mention but a few. - discover Lago Maggiore: from Ascona and Locarno to Arona the lakeside road...
