Interaction with guests: I spend about half of my time at the Cottage, and the other half in Lombok, about 2 hours away. I'm of course always available by email, and guests can even reach me by phone once they're at the Cottage. Our staff Ela will be the one interacting the most with our guests. They're the one preparing breakfast, and cleaning your room everyday. They're at the cottage most of the time, and stay on site overnight, so there's basically always someone at the Cottage if anything is needed by our guests.
I first came on the Gilis about 15 years ago. I'll be able to provide you with any information you need, especially about water activities (diving, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, island hopping etc....).

Outstanding hospitality from the owner Gaspar who originally from France. We got a loads of useful advises and had a really great time on Gili T.
Room is very specious, good water pressure, AC works pretty good as well. Bikes are providing without extra charge but they are a bit tired. Not a big choice for breakfast but it was delicious!!!

Big and Cozy Room
Room is specious with a comfortable bed. The shower has hot and cold water which is not always the case in Gili T. Additionally the cottages offers free bikes incl. lock. The owner is incredibly friendly and always helped!
Another important factor is that from the cottage one can barely hear the mosque - huge plus!

Brilliant stay at Mandalika
Really lovely stay at Mandalika Cottage. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. They were all also very attentive and always willing to help. The cottage itself was clean and spacious. Free bike rental is a lovely touch and makes it so easy to explore the island. Free breakfast at Broken Compass too which was good. Overall really good stay and thank you to everyone at Mandalika!

Decent stay!
Gaspar was a lot of help with everything ! He has two little girls who are adorable and his wife is super sweet too. The place itself is cute and cosy. We had booked three rooms and we got free bikes with them which were great.
The rooms and bathrooms are decent. One of the rooms smelled a little and the Aircons took quite some time to cool the rooms. These were the only downfalls. But since we barely stayed in the rooms, we didn't really care for it much. The breakfast is good and the location is also not bad.
All in all a decent stay !

amazing stay
walking distance from the night market, the beach and the jetty, free good condition bikes for guest, amazing pancakes for breakfast. we wanted some privacy at night time so the place is perfect cause there was no disturbance from the noisy beachside night parties. the room is big, comfortable, clean, with hot shower too. and the owner and staffs are friendly. will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy gili trawangan.

Wonderful
Everything on our stay was great, from the booking to the check out. Gaspar was great during the booking process, very informative, and helpful. Gave us a map to get to the place and also an e-book of the thinks to do, where to eat, what to visit once in the Gili T. The girls were wonderful too (sorry I didn't catch her names - I'm really bad remembering different names), very attentive and caring. We were in a honeymoon and they left us beautiful flower decorations on the sitting area and on the bed with a happy honeymoon note. Price is also a good incentive. I would definitely recommend.

Great service!
The cottages was really nice and clean. Extra plus from the free water. Great location and really good service. The staff was really nice and the breakfast tasted good. I would go there anytime again.

Gili's Perfect Hideaway
Firstly, if you are considering taking a trip to Gili Trawangan, do not think twice! It was the most amazing place and for someone who has visited mainland Bali 7 times prior, Gili was absolutely picturesque and stunning.
Staying at Mandalika was daunting as a solo young female traveller but the host, Guillaume, was a Godsent! A French man who now lives on the island is an abundance of knowledge and is always more than happy to help you out.
The attraction to Mandalika was obviously the cheap rate and the inclusion of a bike (as there are no cars etc on the island). Having a bike was probably necessary given it is a 5/6 minute ride to the main road, but its a very 'local' fun ride which I loved. It's also nice being away from the hustle and bustle of the island especially the loud nightclubs. .
The room itself was great - the bed is massive, the bathroom is clean and there is an aircon! Also loved the little additions such as the beach bag and umbrella.
My trip was only 3 days but on the last night my bag was stolen with my phone, money room key etc in it (travelling tip #1, don't leave your bag on the beach at 2.30am because locals WILL steal it!). I was absolutely devastated but Guillaume let me into my room very early on my return (3.30AM!!) without a fuss and was great to deal with when discussing replacement of the keys.
Next year I'll be taking a few family members to Gili and will definitely be staying at Mandalika again!

We actually stayed here for 2 months whilst my partner completed his dive master course. Mandalika is great and we had 0 complaints!
The room is cleaned daily and fresh bedding and towels upon request. There is free bike rental and breakfast is included in the room rate. We were never once disappointed with the service or the room! Excellent place, very safe and secure and only 10 minutes from the main bit!

Gili Trawangan is the biggest of a 3 islands archipelago, off the northwest coast of Lombok. Roughly 3 km from north to south and 2 km from east to west, Gili Trawangan lies about 35 km west of Bali and about 5 km off Lombok.
Motorised engine are not allowed on the islands: cycling or walking is the way to go, and it makes the place a paradise: no air or noise pollution at all!!
The islands have a warm tropical climate with a dry season (usually from May until October) and a wet season (from November to April). Thanks to mount Rinjani the Gilis are somehow sheltered and enjoy a microclimate when compared to Lombok, with less rain and an average annual temperature of around 28°C… Lovely weather!
Getting around
We provide free bicycles for all our guests, which is definitely the best way to get around the island and save time.
We also provide a personalised guide of the island with recommended restaurants, activities, things to see on the islands, and a description of the night life.
As a dive instructor I can give you all informations about scuba diving but also about the best places for snorkeling and where to spot sea turtles.
We can give you advice about transportation from/to Bali and Lombok, and also about places to visit in Lombok, as we partly leave there.

On the island, we are located close to the football field.
You can follow these directions: from where you land with fast boat or local boat, find the Free Diving School down the beach (Free Dive Gili), north of the harbor. Walk through Jalan Gurita (which makes the corner with the Free Diving School), pass Samadhi on your left hand side and keep going until you see Gili Mo Boutique and Spa on your left hand side. Take the next right and here it is on your right hand side with a white metal door.
