Highly recommend - beautiful cottages and great hosts
We have now had the pleasure of staying in both Stable and Mill cottage - both are beautiful. Clare and Dave are great hosts, making you feel very welcome. Cottages are extremely comfortable and very thoughtfully equipped - a real home away from home. Location is fantastic, feeling as though you are away from everything whilst having lots to do in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend!

Amazing stay
Wow! Beautiful cottages set in stunning country side. We spent a very relaxing week in Mill Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped and lovely and spacious, with glorious views. The cottages have the feel of being in the middle of nowhere and yet are only a mile and a half from Dufftown and the Whiskey Trail so you get the best of both worlds. A trip to Speyside Cooperage and Balmoral are also highly recommended. I have now visited twice and will definitely be back.

Stunning 💛💛
Wow, how fantastic our stay here was.
Such a beautiful calming, tranquil place, very clean, well equipped, beautiful cottage, there was everything that we needed here, and a beautiful cake was made for us when we got there. There were all the basic every day essentials. A beautiful log fire, lovely big bedrooms, a fantastic powerful shower.
Very easy to get to everywhere, only about 5 mins from Dufftown.
Brilliant for our dog, lovely large enclosed garden.
Lovely owner Claire, very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be returning to this beautiful cottage and stunning part of Scotland 💜💜💜

Fabulous place
3rd time staying in Stable Cottage - 1st time with the new owners Clare and Dave. Cottage was as lovely as ever. Dave greeted us on arrival and then left us to settle in but made sure we knew they were on hand if needed. ‘Welcome Pack’ was also lovely and the dogs weren’t forgotten either with biscuits (& poop bags!) for them. Met Clare a couple of days later, friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for? Must admit we were a little concerned about the dogs not being as welcome as before but we needn’t have been. Dave and Clare may not want to photograph them like Fiona did but other than that, doggy rules are just the same. Not a hotel but self catering cottages. Kitchen well equipped. Everything we needed with plenty of space to relax. Fabulous garden for dogs and children - just note the fence to next cottage is low in places so if your dogs jump 3 ft fences keep an eye on them! We are certainly looking forward to making a 4th visit at some point. I really can’t recommend these cottages enough, not to mention the fantastic walks and places to visit!!

Chilled holiday
Before we booked we reviewed the website and what people said about this hidden gem of a places d thought can’t he that good but it is. Just over a mile from Dufftown with easy access to the cottages that are in immaculate first class condition, the owners and hosts Robert and Fiona are great people who are always on hand for any advise and made our welcome and stay very special, even had home baking ready for our arrival. Everything you need and more is at hand and the very large secure garden is exactly what our young German Shepherd and my wife and I wanted. To play train and chill with him was paramount to us. The log fire and cozy rooms set this holiday cottage miles apart from many we have been too and for sure we will be back.
With distilleries everywhere, Chinese, Indian, co-op bakers butchers etc etc on hand in Dufftown, Keith and Huntly nearby
It is a pleasure to promote this beautiful home. If you want a place to totally chill with your furry friend there is no place better.
Thanks again Robert and Fiona for a fabulous stay.

Stunning Cottage a haven for Dogs and their owners alike
Stunning location, fantastic cottage, spotlessly clean and so many personal touches, fresh water put out for our dog on our arrival, plus doggy treats, milk in the fridge, together with wine and a fabulous chocolate cake. Our dog loved his stay and the freedom of such a large garden, as we all did. Fiona and Robert were perfect hosts and we can't wait to come back

Lots of castles to explore, whisky distilleries, fantastic beaches, lovely walks and scenery. Good local pubs.
We stayed in Stable cottage. Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. The garden was fabulous too - huge! The dogs absolutely loved it, all fenced in too which was great. Fiona and Robert were brilliant and on-hand should we have needed them. Fiona even baked us a delicious cake on arrival, there was wine and milk in the fridge and even treats for the dogs:)
Could not fault anything about the cottages. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back soon. Would definitely recommend the cottages without hesitation.

How lovely to have a very comfortable, very dog friendly cottage
We stayed in mill cottage & our friends stayed in stable cottage with 4 dogs between us so when we opened the gate between the two gardens every morning the dogs thought they had found paradise! Really, how lovely it was for us all to relax knowing the dogs couldn't get out anywhere.Robert & Fiona were very welcoming everything provided to make us comfortable a bottle of wine &home made chocolate cake to die for! Robert even ordered some flowers for me on behalf of my husband for my birthday. We would all recommend the cottages & would love to go again (should have stayed for 2weeks)

Awesome Base for Exploring the Area
My wife and I stayed in the larger of the two cottages, the Mill Cottage, for several nights and had a wonderful time! The unit would be quite comfortable for a larger party as well but wasn't too big for the two of us.
Upon arrival we were shown around the unit by Robert and given lots of useful information about the property and the vicinity. There are tourist information brochures and maps in the cottage. The entire place was spotless and clearly well maintained inside and out.
The large kitchen had all of the necessary items one would expect for a nice self catering experience, plus a bottle of wine and cold milk in the fridge. We were surprised to find a delicious homemade cake baked by Fiona as a welcome treat! Modern appliances include a dishwasher and a washer/dryer combo unit.
Bedrooms feature lovely decor, loads of storage space, comfortable bedding and plenty of blankets, etc. The bath and shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The living room was probably our favorite spot in the cottage due to the sumptuous leather furniture, cozy decor and especially the fireplace. Lots of firewood and peat are both provided. A selection of DVDs and books are available for entertainment as well.
The cottages are set amidst a gorgeous piece of rolling hills and farmland. A large grassy yard is provided which would be perfect for bringing your dog (we unfortunately had to leave ours behind in the U.S.). But we both enjoyed strolling around and taking in the fresh air in such a peaceful place.
The location is ideal as it is just a few minutes outside of Dufftown and quite central for visiting many different sites in the region. We plan to return to this area of Scotland again and will certainly plan to stay here when we do.
