As soon as you leave the house, 100m on your right you will find yourselves on the beach of Ornos. On your left is the traditional tavern <Diamandis> with Greek dishes and on your right the café bar <Endless Blue> whilst along the shoreline there is a host of lovely restaurants and bars with Italian and international cuisine. In Hora we recommend the Italian restaurant <Da Giorgio> which is situated behind the church near Little Venice. Hora is the capital and centre of the island. The distinguished architecture of the houses in combination with the beautiful surroundings charms visitors. The paved alleys and house styles follow the Greek island pattern of the Cyclades islands. The Cycladic windmills and countless church belfries form the picturesque Myconian scenery. Matogianni is the central road of Hora with the most well known brands being sold in the shops. The beaches of Myconos are all exquisite starting from the cosmopolitan beach of Ornos from which you can take a small boat to any other beach on the island. We pass Psarrou, famous for its restaurant bar Nammos and for those who want to swim there a set of 2 beach recliners costs 23e. Following that we have Platis Gialos where the beach set is 8e, and from where again you can take a boat to any other beach and ask to be returned as well of course. Other beaches are Paraga, well-known for the bar-restaurant Scorpios and the tourist resort Santanna with the largest swimming pool with sea water and many restaurants and bars. In continuation, we have Paradise Beach, 12e a set, with the famous Cavo Paradiso nightclub with well known DJs from all over the world. Next to it is Super Paradise Beach, 12e a set, with its famous beach bar and a lot of fun and entertainment. Other beaches are Agari, Elia, Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis, Lia, (all 12e per beach set), and on the north side of the island we have Panormos, Ftelia and Ag.Sostis. All these beaches are organized and have a bar. The bus stop (KTEL) is 180 m from the house, on the central road in front of the bakery Horiatiko. The end of the bus line is at 300m where the beach starts. The ticket from Ornos to Hora costs 1,80e wheras after midnight it costs 2,30e. From Hora you can take the bus to almost all the southern beaches of the island. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 00834764648More
