Holiday Rental House -
4 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 7
Balleroy, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, Normandy
‘Rene’ is a 200 year old former coaching inn set in the Michelin listed village of Balleroy and backing onto the Chateau grounds. It has a lovely south facing garden organised into two patios and surrounded by Normandy stone walls. The house is a comfortable and well-furnished family home with great character set in the heart of unspoilt countryside and forest. It has four bedrooms and central heating. There is a veranda outside the living room with lovely views over the château grounds and the Cerisy forest. 'Rene' is not primarily a 'holiday let' it is our family home in France so it is homely and very well equipped.
Its situation, in the historical village of Balleroy is ideal for exploring the rich heritage of the Normandy region. Although only having 600 residents Balleroy is well served with shops and amenities and...

Note the lack of photo of the front of the property & please read the house details fully as the shower room, basin and only loo is downstairs, the twin rooms upstairs are accessed through the single and the double, but the double has a curtain across for privacy. The house is obviously loved by the owner, but it could...

We easily found the house and were able to get in without a problem. We had to park our car about 30 meters away on the side of the road like all the other cars. The road is busy with large trucks going by at times, but they weren't a problem. Initially entering the house there was a musty odor,...
