It is a very cozy and hospitable house , suitable for those who prefer peaceful family or romantic vacations .
The guest house is the first one of the eight houses one can find while reaching the linear agglomeration of Fourni. Fourni is a very small village, at the north hillsides of mount Pantokratoras -the highest on Corfu island- 10 minutes distance from the nearest town and beach of Acharavi.
Castelli Olive Press was my family's small home olive press, serving , also, the nearby houses of Fourni village. The building was built 150 years ago and was covering the needs of the village, until new contemporary units of processing olives appeared in the area, about 50 years ago. Un séjour magique dans une jolie maison au milieu de la nature
Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique dans cette jolie maisonnette au milieu de la nature. La maison est rattachée à une jolie demeure avec piscine de laquelle nous avons pu profiter sans modération. Le castelli olive press se situe au sommet d'une montagne en plein milieu des oliviers et du chant des cigales. La vue sur la vallée est à couper le souffle ! Et les couchers de soleil mémorables ! Nos hôtes ont été merveilleux : générosité et bienveillance sont au rendez vous ! Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit pour des vacances tranquilles et en dehors des sentiers battus.

Fabulous 'getaway from it all' place
Very impressed with Castelli Olive Press. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Enjoyed it all. Appreciated the welcome goodies and that Stephen showed us the way when we arrived.

Extraordinary, calm and picturesque.
We all remain stay at Castelli Olive Press as fantastic and unforgettable. The place is charming: silent and quiet, with breathtaking bird's-eye view of the mountains, near villages, olive groves and the see. The house "Olive Press" was very clean, furnished with taste - together with the surroundings it gave us unforgettable atmosphere of the stay. Swimming pool with excellent view, picturesque terraces and extraordinary village Fourni inhabited by only one wonderful family, which discreetly and solicitously takes care of the appartments and it's guests...
The place is secluded and great to relax deeply. It's at the same time only a few minutes by car far from Acharavi, where is eveyrthing you may need: the see, beach, shops, restaurants, even several car-hire centres, and Green Bus bus-stop. It makes this place excellent base for excursions through the beautiful Corfu island. For ad-hoc shopping, lunch or dinner you can always take a twenty-minutes walk though the olive groves to near village Episkepsi.
I strongly recommend this venue to those who look for quiet, beatiful and extraordinary places. In "Olive Press" we've stayed comfortaby as three-persons family. In neighbouring house - also stylish "Castelli Cottage" - there can comfortably stay a group up to 10 persons. I'd recommed to visit this place after high-season. We have been there in the end of September and we've enjoyed very warm and sunny weather, beautiful place, excellent hospitality and ideal calm.

Best vacation at corfu.
The lodging is very clean and maintained. The render and management are very nice and friendly. Great swimming pool with beauty's view. Very family friendly. Distance to the beach approximately 5 km. Very quiet situation in the mountains. Very recommendable. Come again with pleasure.

Tolles Haus mit gigantischen Ausblick. Sehr gepflegt.
Tolles und gepflegtes Haus in den Bergen. Die Aussicht ist gigantisch. Vermieterin sehr nett. Auto ist ein muß. Das Auto sollte klein sein oder ein Jeep Allrad. Der Aufstieg zum Haus ist eng,kurvig und steil. Mit dem Auto fährt man 10 Min zum langen sehr schönen Strand. Wer die Ruhe und Stille liebt ist hier am Haus genau richtig. Es fehlt an nichts. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder. Vielen dank noch mal an Matina der Vermieterin für diesen schönen Urlaub.

Castelli olive press
Uns hat es sehr gut im Castelli olive press gefallen. Das kleine, schnuckelige Häuschen war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Aussicht von den diversen Sitzmöglichkeiten grandios. Der einzige Wermutstropfen waren die doch zahlreichen Wespen. Selbst die vielen Wespenfänger und Kaffee, den man anzünden konnte (den Qualm mochten sie nicht), hat sie nicht vollständig vertreiben können. Unterm Strich für eine Woche toll! Letzter Tip zum Schluss : Wegbeschreibung vorher aufmerksam durchlesen....

Idealer Rückzugsort für Ruhesuchende
Wir waren von Anfang an begeistert. Es hat alles super geklappt mit den Infos, den Kontakten, der Abholung in Acharavi und wir sind in jeder Hinsicht zufrieden gestellt worden von unserer Unterbringung im Castelli Cottage Olive Press - ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Häuschen, ideal für 2 Personen, super Ausstattung, ansprechendes Ambiente, Wahnsinns-Ausblick, absolute Ruhe und zudem noch sehr sehr sauber und gepflegt. Zum Ausspannen genau das Richtige. Auch die Fahrt in den nächsten Ort ist ok, mit einem kleinen Mietwagen in ca. 7-8min problemlos zu bewältigen, die nächsten schönen Strände sind ca. 15 Fahrminuten entfernt. Wir haben von hier aus die gesamte Insel erkundet und uns am Abend und am Vormittag die Ruhe am Pool gegönnt. Ich würde das Castelli Cottage jederzeit wieder buchen, wenn ich nochmals nach Korfu komme!

Perfect place
We were with kids and a lot of family there and needed the whole Cottage for us. It is a very good place where everyone can take his space or be together in front of the house. The kids had a lot of fun. They spent a lot of time in the pool playing. Here you can start a walking tour or take the car to get to beautiful beaches. The organiser is great and taking a lot of care.

It is a wonderful and relaxing place, one of the most beautiful part of Corfu.
It is not too far from the beach, the accomodation is a friendly place above Acharavi in the mountains. Beautiful tripping facilities nearby, wonderful panorama, relaxing silence. With a friendly staff, the accomodation is very comfortable, clean, silent, air conditioned, an awesome swimming pool and good parking opportunities. We could have found this place earlier!

About the neighbourhood
From a distance, Fourni village looks like a hamlet perched on one of Mount Pantokrator’s hillsides, as an eagle’s nest, on a cliff’s edge, that of Castelli. At half the distance of the road connecting Episkepsi and St Panteleimon villages, starts a 500 m. country winding road, among centenary olive trees, leading to Fourni.
Fourni, perched at 400 m. , is a linear agglomeration, consisting of 8 residential properties. The road ends when reaching the third house. You can access to the other houses through paths and courtyards. The agglomeration composition and form was established during the Interwar period, and remains unchanged to today.
Getting around
The nearest village, Episkepsi, located among olive trees, has magnificent manors and picturesque houses and alleys with stone steps. There are a few grill taverns and a mini market for the bare essentials.
Within 4,2 km and at a 37 km distance from Corfu Town lies the Acharavi village, built on a plain with particularly dense vegetation. Mostly impressive is its 8 km sand beach , one of the largest in Corfu. Here you can find super markets, bike and car rentals ,restaurants, pharmacies and shops to meet all your needs during your stay in Corfu.

Corfu port is 41 km and the airport is 43 km away from the house. From there you should take the road towards north Corfu , to Acharavi village. From Acharavi you follow the signs to Agios Panteleimonas and Episkepsi. There ,after 3.5km away from Acharavi and in the middle of the road from Agios Panteleimonas to Episkepsi you find a small, 500m. ,narrow, winding, country road for the top of the mountain. There is Fourni. You will find signs on the road for Castelli Cottage.
