We arrived and felt at home as soon as we pulled in to the drive. The owners could not be nicer and showed us where everything was. We spent a week at Pen y Bont as a family group of eight adults. It is a very lovely farmhouse - well taken care of and clearly loved. Bala in the Snowdownia National Park is ideally placed to explore both north and mid Wales. It provides easy access to fantastic scenery from the doorstep. The mountains of Snowdon and Cadair Idris are an easy drive away, beaches at Barmouth, Portmadoc and Shell Island, Castles such as Harlech, and places to explore such as Llangollen, Portmeirion, the Isle of Anglesey and (over the border) the Roman city of Chester. The scenery is outstanding, the air is clean and fresh and traffic jams are unheard of!

By Car:

From the A494 Llangollen approach to Bala, after crossing the river bridge and just before entering the town, turn left onto the B4391 signposted to Pen Y Bont, the Lake, the Steam Train and Llangynog.

Pass the lake on your right, as you come to the end of the lake you cross over a bridge and you will see Pen-Y-Bont Farmhouse in front on the right hand side of the road.

For Sat Nav the postcode is LL23 7PH and this postcode takes you directly to the property.

Turn into the property through the gate to the left hand side of the house, there is plenty of parking within the grounds.
