I'm not often moved to write a review but the excellence we experienced at the Cilan Farmhouse deserves to be shared. From the moment we arrived, Jen, Andy and the team couldn't have done more to ensure our every need was met. Knowledgeable, helpful friendly and very accessible, they were superb. And then there's the house itself. We've stayed in...

We spent a weekend at Cilan Farmhouse to celebrate my father-in-law's 80th birthday. There were 10 of us from three generations plus two dogs and the house suited everyone perfectly. We made good use of the lovely garden and hot tub despite the wet weather. The house is spacious with five ensuite bedrooms (one downstairs) and plenty of living space,...

Every May we plan a reunion week for 5 couples who have been friends for over 40yrs. As the years pass our access needs increase and this year we have found the perfect accommodation in Cilan House at Rivercatcher. The bedrooms are large and all ensuite. There is plenty of comfortable spaces to sit inside and also outside looking out...

About the neighbourhood
Cilan has been a part of Llandrillo for centuries with the earliest reference way back in 1400, and is a part of the local history. It is on the site of the former Llandrillo railway, and the embankment and railway bed are still on the property. In fact, the remains of the stone bridge, which once crossed the River Dee, are visible from the back door of the original farmhouse as a reminder of bygone days.

The village of Llandrillo is just a 10 minute walk away where there is a village shop and post office, a lovely pub which is open all day to serve drinks and 2 restaurants. One of which being Michelin starred, Tyddyn Llan.
