Located in its own meadow this idyllic, charming converted mill dates from 1788 and has a wonderful calm ambiance. With its elevated terrace overlooking the stream and meadow you can watch the wildlife, be it humming birds, dragon flies, squirrels or just listen to the birds and feel at one with nature.

A delightful stay in a most charming French cottage
My son and I had the pleasure to stay for a few nights in this most charming French cottage. The cottage is clean, fresh and felt warm and friendly. The terrace area is superb and is ideal for those with small children as it's safe and secure.
I would highly recommend L'Etang as it has all the amenities required for a holiday break and set in a most perfect location. I will definitely be returning.

Idyllic!
We recently spent a glorious week at L'Etang. The cottage is spotless, well equipped with lovely touches to welcome you. It has been renovated to a very high specification and careful consideration has been given to the furnishings - it is truly lovely.Fabulously comfortable beds with crisp fresh linen! Lovely walks and although we recommend a car, the historical village of Bazouges-La- Perouze is a short walk. We spent most evenings drinking the atmosphere (of course a little wine) on the veranda/deck and watching the wildlife come and go. The little stream provided a flash of the Kingfisher and some friendly but shy Alpacas visited - never intruded! We thoroughly recommend L'Etang - the owners are welcoming and very helpful. If you value peace and quiet with an opportunity to visit many interesting places like Mont St Michel, Rennes and fishing villages serving the best seafood - this could be for you. Thank you for a restful, back to nature week!

Standing on a hill overlooking the farmland and forest Villecartier, Bazouges-la-Pérouse meaning "Basilica of stones" is a Small City of Character.
There is a whole forest to explore just behind the property with a ramblers route leading to Ville Cartier and onto Mont Saint Micheal.
Sorrounding towns well worth a visit for art, history, restaurants and street markets are Comburgh, Fougeres, Dol-de-Bretagne, Cancale, Dinan, Rennes.
Getting around
The interpretive trail: accompanied by a roadmap (available at the Tourist Office in the village center), discover the rich heritage of the Small City of Character... stories, anecdotes, riddles and poems on buildings and characters famous, decorate your walk.
Hike to Recrenature at the forsest of Ville Cartier where there are various ramblers routes, a minature port with small boats for children's rides, a creperie, acrobranch and horse riding.
