Villa Bacchus is a traditional-style Greek country cottage lying in its own small garden and reached by a country lane. Accessed via a driveway shared with the villa next door, this semi-detached house is in an ideal location only one mile from the first shops and tavernas of Kassiopi and just half mile from Avlaki's shingle and pebble beach. The villa's poolside terrace is a pleasant and fabulously scenic spot, with a crazy-paved patio surrounding the swimming pool and looking out across the tree-clad countryside to the sparkling Ionian Sea in the distance. A shaded door opens into the house where you will find a kitchen/diner and a simply-styled twin bedroom with french doors opening onto the poolside terrace. Disappointed
The pool is fantastic as is the view however the interior of the semi detached house was clean but old and looking somewhat worn Kitchen was basic re equipment and air con only in bedrooms Path to avlaki was so overgrown it was impassable you definitely need a car here Beds were hard and had holes in some sheets The pool was selling point but I’d expect something of better quality. I don’t think any money has been spent on it for years so consequently it is ‘tired’ There are plenty of villas around Kassiopi which is lovely so I’d recommend you look around for better value and experience

Fantastic Location
A very pleasant villa in great location with views to the hills as well as the sea. Surrounding countryside of olive trees, the neighbours small holding with fruit trees and vegetables added to the atmosphere. The walk down to the beach/taverna at Avkaki was particularly pleasant rather than going to Kassiopi which is is a bit overdeveloped. Good coastal walks and quitet beaches if you park up at San Stefano and walk back towards Kassiopi. Also recommend Old Perithia for walks /atmosphere. Last week of Sep proved good time to go weather wise mid 20's sunshine with occasional downpours (at night), very green with lots of butterflies and wild cyclamen and sea/pool still warm - meant it looked more like spring than end of summer. Villas was comfortable - only gripes were the beds rather hard and limited tv choice ( would recommend taking some DVDs) One of the best swimming pools I have come across, Kosta's very helpful as he allowed us to leave later on the last day as I had hurt my back and there was no-one booked after us. Wifi was a bit intermittent though phone service excellent

Excellent villa and location with beautiful views.
Peaceful location a little way from the main road and walking distance down to Avlaki beach which has an excellent Taverna, Cavo Barbaro. The villa is clean and well equipped with superb views. Could not have wished for better. Having the pool was a real bonus, great for morning and late afternoon dips after exploring other local bays such as Stefanos and Nasaki. A truly relaxing holiday with enough going on in Kassiopi for the teenage members of the family. Paradise - book it!

Very good villa, with excellend pool patio and views to Albania
Villa Bacchus is a few minutes drive from Kassiopi in Corfu, and is away from the main road down a track so is quite peaceful. The villa is very comfortable for a holiday and has a superb terrace with a large private swimming pool. The terrace has beautiful views down towards the sea and across to Albania. An adjoining villa is home to a local couple who are very friendly. Highly recommended.

About the neighbourhood
A little to the east of the village and not more than 3 kilometres away is the wonderful beach of Avlaki where one can take sailing and horse riding lessons. Right next to Avlaki is the region of Agios Stefanos (6 kilometres) with its little port; a haven for various recreational vessels and its unique fish taverns. Going further east, visit the beach of Kerasia with its turquoise waters, Kalami the favourite village of the author Lawrence Durrel and if you have rented a boat you must stop for a bite at Agni. At 4 kilometres to the west of Kassiopi is one of the island's best sandy beaches, that of Kalamaki and right after that follows the sandy beach of Agios Spiridona ;both of which are worth a visit especially if you have children. You should not miss out on the traditional Venetian village of Palia Perithia (12 kilomtres),which was built during the 16th century with each family building its own church, and where today a significant number of buildings have been renovated. It is truly worth the effort to tour the narrow stone paths as well as stop at one of the four small tavernas of the village. Pantokratora's monastery is located on the highest peak of the island and offers a panoramic view of the region but generally the mountainous paths transpire exceptional beauty and the different architecture and atmosphere of the mountainous villages are a special experience.Corfu town is one of the best historical centres in Europe
Getting around
