We have planted a vegetable and herb garden so you can help yourself each day, with our compliments, to our seasonal produce to make a lovely meal - why go shopping if you don't have too! We also have an orchard and our own chickens so there are always fruit and free range eggs waiting for you each day. The original outdoor brick bread oven is ideal for our weekly complimentary pizza party where you can try your hand at making your own pizza - perfect with a glass or two of local vino! INSIDE - your apartment is large with lots of light and from each window there is a view over the countryside. We have tried to think of what you will need for a relaxing holiday and our guests tell us we have thought of everything. Your kitchen has a granite worktop and is fitted with all the appliances you would expect at home. Your bedroom is light and airy and has a king size bed with lovely linen so you get a wonderful nights sleep and feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the next day of your stay. Your bathroom is modern and stylish with a large powerful shower - we think that is important. Of course there is all the technology and wifi you might want or you may feel like listening to the silence of being away from it all - your choice. OUTSIDE - your private garden outside your door has a table and chairs so you can eat in the fresh air and enjoy the view while you relax. There are lots of spaces to chill-out in the grounds or you might fancy cooking up a fabulous meal on the BBQ and of course please join us for our weekly pizza party. The swimming pool is heated and at 15m X 5m there is lots of room and you can do some proper swimming if that is your thing. Or maybe just float on a lilo and let the breeze take you away! A wonderful setting with a lovely pool overlooking the most tranquil view but the thing that really makes CdF stand out are the hosts Bob and Ian. Nothing is too much trouble for them, to ensure you have a fantastic time. For us it was guidance on restaurants, boat trips, the Opera, which beaches, wineries and markets we should visit and much more. The wine, eggs and their own olive oil were a treat when we arrived as was the invitation to help ourselves to vegetables from the garden.

Everything you wish for!
We were with family here in August. The accommodation was really perfect with a nice big garden. The views were amazing and so were the owners Bob and Ian. We will never forget the pizza nights and your kind help. Also a good place to visit small villages and places like Fermo and Macerata. You want to visit the Marche? Book this place. It’s everything you wish for!

A peaceful eco hideaway
I had a wonderful stay at Casal dei Fichi. Bob and Ian have created such a lovely, peaceful atmosphere, with beautiful grounds, a pool with wonderful views over the valley, and an assortment of friendly chickens, dogs & cats to keep you company! The apartment itself was well-equipped with everything you might need, and even had its own private patio which was a lovely spot for breakfast in the morning. It felt even better knowing that they've made some serious sustainability efforts to ensure that your stay has a limited environmental impact. Plus, we had a pizza party where we all got to make our own pizza from scratch! What more could you ask for.

A Combination of Beauty and Luxury
We (a German couple in our 60s) stayed in Ian and Bob's place for ten days, missing nothing, enjoying everything! If you like a very quiet surrounding for your holiday and if you want a natural environment tended to along ecological principles, Casal dei Fichi is a good place for you: - most beautifully situated in the spectacular, hilly landscape of Le Marche - nicely renovated apartment - kitchen well-equipped incl. microwave, coffee maker and a dish washer - living room: stereo, CDs, tv, books ... and a sofa to be used as a bed, which we needed, since our grown-up son came to stay for a few days - thank you again, Bob and Ian, for making this possible on short notice! - spacey bathroom, more than enough towels for use also at the pool - nice bedroom with a comfortable bed, lots of space for all our clothes. It must be said here that our apartment (named Ricci) was on ground and first floor, the upper floor to be reached via a narrow and steep spiral staircase. No problem for us here, but persons with handicaps should make sure to rent one of the other apartments (of which we don't know whether there are any staircases) - very big, well-tended and beautiful garden - private table outside to sit and eat and chat and just enjoy the day - vegetables, fruit and eggs from the chickens living on the grounds for guest use - olive oil in the apartment from Casal dei Fichi olives - a bottle of local wine and cold water in the fridge on arrival - a pizza night once a week, Bob and Ian providing everything from dough to cheese, vegetables and wine; guests can make their own pizza; nice time for a chat with the hosts and the other guests! - a pool with sun beds, umbrellas, shower, and a fantastic view ... - ... and very friendly and helpful hosts living on the grounds, ready to provide any info and help as well as chats and laughs or a quick how-to-cook-artichokes (from the garden!) recipe. It's the two of them (plus their animal companions, three lovely dogs and two cats) who make it easy to settle right down and feel nice and cosy and relaxed. We know it sounds too good to be true - but we were there and came back home full of the warmth and beauty we found in Casal dei Fichi to tell the tale ...

Relaxing in Le Marche
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Casal dei Fichi. The apartments are comfortable and well equipped for all your holiday needs. There is lots to see and do in the area, with many small towns and coastal villages to explore, but you will need a car. Many days were spent just relaxing outdoors with a glass of wine and enjoying the magnificent views. We were there in early October, so it was too cool for a swim, but I am sure the pool is quite refreshing in the warmer months. Your hosts, Bob and Ian, know the area well and will provide excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to shop. A highlight of our visit was their weekly pizza night, when you get together with the other guests to enjoy some wine and conversation as well as homemade pizzas from their wood fired oven.

An extremely peaceful and luxurious getaway you'd rather keep a secret to yourself!
As a young family (1.5-year-old son), we enjoyed for a second time all the beauty, serenity and luxury that Casal dei Fichi has to offer. The stunning rolling views, many sights & picturesque villages in the area, delicious lunch and dinner options in the Fermo region complete all the ingredients for a fabulous holiday. Surely the big difference from other accommodations is the passion, dedication and modern progressive attitude of both hosts Bob and Ian. They make you feel at home with their warm welcome and extremely attentive hospitality. Particularly the very famous pizza parties! We are already looking forward to come back - again!

Just gets better and better
This was our 7th - or maybe 8th?, when you're this stunned with pleasure, who's counting? - stay at Bob and Ian's since we first ventured there in 2009. Be warned - it's a thoroughly addictive experience! From the beauty of the landscape to the figs ripe for picking, from the beautifully equipped kitchen and apartments to the lovely 3 dogs, from the lovely kitchen garden full of veg and salad to the terrific restaurants in the neighbourhood (truly Le Marche food is in a class of its own for freshness, authenticity, simplicity and low-low prices) - how to choose what's best? We love the fact it's run with such a gentle eye on being as eco-friendly as possible, we love the peace and quiet - the sunrises and moon rises over the hills, the other pleasant people you meet when you're staying. But most of all we love the warm and delightful welcome and presence of Bob & Ian, who honestly couldn't run this place with a millimetre more charm, efficiency and fun We're looking forward to the next 7 visits already!

Wonderful place!
We stayed at Casal dei Fichi for 10 days and loved it. The apartment was very clean and had all the equipment you could ask for. Spent a lot of time at the pool which has a marvellous view over the surrounding landscape. Our kids (5 and 7) also really enjoyed the pool and the big garden....and to hang out with the dogs :). Bob and Ian were great hosts and we got a lot of useful tips and information about the area. We would love to come back, and definitely recommend Casal dei Fichi!

Amazing accommodation and location
What can I say? This is a fantastic location for a relaxing holiday. The apartments are first rate, and Bob and Ian, the owners, simply could not have been more helpful. We were made to feel so welcome and just like their personal guests. This was the second stay at Casal dei Fichi, and was simply perfect!

About the neighbourhood
Casal dei Fichi is a short walk from Francavilla d’Ete, an ancient village set up on a hill with magnificent views. There are all the amenities here including shops, bars and a great simple restaurant. Within a few minutes drive there are several other towns each with it’s own superb restaurant restaurants and other facilities. Our guests comment that they like the location - quiet and undisturbed. At the same time we are in central Marche so you can easily get around to see the main attractions like the cities of Fermo and Macerata, the coast and the mountains. Nearby to Casal dei Fichi are the fascinating Roman ruins of Urbisaglia and the abbey where you can take lunch and explore the grounds.

We are in central Marche and public transport is limited so you are recommended to hire a car. Our nearest airports are: Ancona - 60 minutes Perugia 75 minutes Pescara - 90 minutes Bologna & Rome - 3 hours

How to get there
We are an easy one hour drive from Ancona airport, 75 minutes from Perugia and 90 minutes from Pescara (all with Ryanair from Stansted) and 3 hours from Bologna and Rome. Car hire is available from various companies at these airports. If you don't want to drive we will happily arrange pick ups and a taxi service for your stay. Not sure of the easiest way to get to us?
