Chez Helene is a lovely wooden chalet located in a pretty village, on the sunny side of the Bozel valley, opposite the 3 Valleys ski resort of La Tania (Courchevel). Facing due South the chalet is warm and cosy in winter. With 6 bedrooms & 8 double beds, the chalet offers guests the perfect base from which to enjoy their winter skiing & spring/summer/autumn Alpine activity holidays. Winter guests have the opportunity to ski in both the worlds largest & third largest linked ski domains, with the ski lifts in Le Praz (for Courchevel/3 Vallees) & Champagny en Vanois (for La Plagne/Paradiski), all just a short 15-20 mins drive from the chalet, Restaurants/bars/ski hire & food shops are just a 6 mins drive away in Bozel.

This was my second ski holiday and by a long run the best. The chalet had stunning views and of course was stunning itself, located half way up a mountain for the best views imaginable! the chalet was a perfect place to cook if you didn't fancy going out and eating at a restaurant. THE PEAK SKI SEASON WEEKLY ACCOMMODATION RENTAL RATE IS £225 PER PERSON, AND IS BASED ON A MINIMUM OF 8 PERSONS. During the ski season, outside of the UK school holiday weeks, the chalet rental rate is based on a per person basis, and may be open to singles, couples and small groups (3-8) to book, on a shared/mixed use basis. Groups of 7+ will have exclusive use of the upper floors of the chalet (5 bedrooms/7 double beds, and open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen). Singles/couples would have use of the self contained ground floor studio if a group of 7+ books for the same week/period as your stay.

PLEASE CONTACT DAVID FOR AN UNBEATABLE VALUE RATE, BASED ON ANY GROUP SIZE from 1-16 (though we recommend a max of 12 guests for comfort), and for any further information.

Outside of the UK school holiday periods we are very flexible on changeover days to enable you to book the cheapest flights.

About the neighbourhood
Les 3 Vallées comprise the 8 ski resorts of Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires - Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle: and is the largest linked ski area in the world, linked together by ski runs and ski lifts, with 600 kms of interconnected slopes and 180 ski lifts. The area has 318 marked alpine ski runs: (51 green (beginner), 127 blue, 111 red and 29 black).

Paradiski is a ski-domain in the stunning Tarentaise Valley offering uninterrupted skiing in between the areas of Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne. The area is linked by the Vanoise Express. In total over the three resorts there are 160 lifts and 425 km of pistes, with 152 green/blue (beginner) runs, 79 red (intermediate) runs and 22 black (expert) runs.

Getting around
There is no public transport and so transport is essential when staying in the chalet. We can provide transport for up to 8 guests for a fee.
Th train station at Moutiers Salins les Thermes is approx 25 minutes away by car.
The ski lift for skiing in la Plagne is 15 minutes drive away. For Courchevel 20 minutes drive away.

Bozel, in the valley, where you will find Ski hire (Le Cage O'Sport), Spar & 8to8 min supermarkets, bakers (x2), butcher, pharmacy, banks etc. is just a short 6 minute drive away.

Larger supermarkets (Carrefour, Super U, Simply, Lidl) are located in Moutiers 25 minutes drive from the Chalet.

Railway: Moutiers: 10.0 km
Ferry: Calais: 900.0 km
If arriving by air, Geneva is our preferred airport, if we are providing airport transfers.

Geneva, Lyon & Grenoble airports are all approx 2 hours drive from the chalet/Three Vallees and Paradiski ski domains.
Chambery is approx 90 mins drive.

Note - Car Hire from Lyon is generally far cheaper than from Geneva !

Airlines - Easyjet, BA, Flybe and Swiss Air

We can provide guests with airport/ski lift transfers and transport during your stay in Ski season. Geneva is our preferred airport if we are providing transfers. Transfer costs are higher from Lyon/Grenoble (greater distance & road tolls).

Your own transport is necessary for the rest of the year (outside the ski season).
