Inside, the treehouse has a warm, studio design boasting soaring vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. Handcrafted woodwork hides state-of-the-art mod-cons, while vast open spaces let the views takeover. With CS Lewis’ house as your nearest neighbour, subtle hints of Narnia are even dotted across the living area. Look out for the lifelike wildlife sculptures and the vibrant patchwork quilts, along with the spellbinding wardrobe with its fanciful glint.
Cook in the bespoke handmade kitchen on its designer appliances or sit on the plush window benches and gaze across the woodlands. Pad across the heated wooden floorboards to the romantic bedroom nook, dressed with a sumptuous king-size bed and mythical look. Up the steep wooden staircase is a cosy mezzanine hub with two floor mattresses that the kids will love. Two foldout single beds can also be set up in the main area of the treehouse if needed, while a ground floor bathroom completes the sophisticated interior.
Step out into Shotover Park to head off in search of adventure, exploring its 117 hectares of beguiling country landscapes. Horse ride through the forest or forage in the woodland. You can also have access to your own private zip wire, after heading through the Narnia wardrobe, meaning you can fly through the trees whilst watching out for Aslan. Get a shot of culture amid the spires of nearby Oxford, admiring its prestigious collegiate and medieval history. Bask in its architectural masterpieces and literary greats, before disappearing into the woods to write your own fairy-tale.

We came for a girly 50th weekend. Was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. Stunning location, so much thought in layout and attention to detail. The accomodation was really warm and cosy with its underfloor heating, and very quirky with lots of hidden secrets to explore.
We made use of all there was to offer, the hot tub and sauna with their woodland views, heated outdoor areas.
And the fact we got sole use of these whilst we were there was a real plus.
We met Alex when we arrived who was very friendly and helpful. And the host was super responsive and helpful.
Already wishing to go back with my family!!!

The most magical UK getaway
Wow i am lost for words at the beauty of this amazing UK getaway. The most beautifully designed treehouse in the heart of Oxford surrounded by purity of nature. Every last detail has been thought out and put together so perfectly. I cannot wait to come back with my family but I definitely recommend coming for more than one night as there is so much to do.

Magical!
This treehouse is so magical! Myself and 4 friends stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time! All the little details around the accommodation were exciting! It’s only a short drive away from Oxford city centre but far enough away to forget where you are an enjoy your time away from the world!
The surrounding trees and wildlife made every morning on the balcony so peaceful!
The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great, so relaxing and worth it!
There’s so much to do both at the accommodation and away from it, I would 100% recommend this place and I would 100% return!

Enchanting
We were lucky enough to go ahead with our stay at Cedar Hollow in-between tier lockdowns, for our little boys birthday, and pre Christmas break. It was such a lovely stay, and lived up to our expectations, of the woodland outdoor experience. You couldn’t get more of a cosy environment that felt magical for us and the children. We used all the amenities available. It was easy to get a takeaway on our first night. And the second night we used the bbq and fire pit area. We had everything there we needed. There is no oven in the property, but we used the bbq which made it all more fun as we packed food to be able to cook outside anyway. Everything is close by and in under a minutes walk. The treehouse is really warm, and Yaz is on hand if there is anything you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quirky experience as a couple of with your children. Thank you

Tree house retreat
The family had a wonderful stay at cedar hollow!
Theres so much to do! We originally made plans to visit Oxford during the day but decided to stay in cedar hollow to make the most of the beautiful grounds. Our stay allowed the family to have some down time away from our busy work schedule and I can truely say it was one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays we've had. I really can't recommend this place enough as there's so much to do and everything was to the highest spec.
Soon as we arrived the kids (and adults!) Jumped on the zip line. During our stay We swam in the pool, played tennis, had a bbq, relaxed in the outdoor jacuzzi, roasted corn and sat beside the fire pit till late in the evening.
Yaz the owner is a lovely person and was very hospitable during our stay. I've recommended cedar hollow to a few of my GP colleagues and we will most definitely book again soon.

Excellent quality premises, very well setup
We were after a glamping weekend with our teenage children and booked the yurt at Cedar Hollow. The premises and fittings are of very high quality. Excellent bar, hot tub, tennis court in oakwood surroundings and WiFi throughout the property make this a well thought out business proposition. We’ll be back and hire the treehouse next time.

amazing
we have just got back from a 2 night stay at cedar hollow. by far this place is amazing. it’s has a lot to offer and keep you entertained but also very secluded. we took our 2 year old son and he loved it. the amenities are all to high standard. the tree house in its self is done up to a hi spec. it’s very clean and tidy. we also had a masseuse come to the tree house which my partner had a lovely massage. defo would recommend if your staying. the owner yaz is lovely, from the day i booked he’s helped out in every way possible. defo would recommend anyone to stay here. we will defo be returning.

A little bit of magic amongst the trees
We stayed at Cedar Hollow for three nights as a family of four with our two boys aged 11 & 9... it was a surprise trip for them and they tried to guess where we were going for two days, a ‘treehouse’ didn’t even enter their minds. It was a special treat for us before our oldest starts secondary school. As we pulled up outside their little faces were a picture.
The little balcony nook in which the children sleep is brilliant, really cosy and they loved it. The wardrobe surprise (worth a little look inside) is a brilliant touch. As is the zip wire, the slide, the swing. We sat each evening on the spacious balcony playing cards and having a wonderful time. We stayed during a really hot stormy august week, and being amongst the trees listening to faraway thunder was amazing. We played tennis in the full size court (all equipment provided) we had access to a pool which we used daily where there are lots of floats, water guns and other bits all provided. We barbecued each night in a state of the art Weber bbq which was brilliant. Lots of crockery, cutlery and plastic glasses are available. There’s a dishwasher which is also handy.
The treehouse itself is just so fun, a projector and large screen makes for a perfect movie night. Tea, coffee and cereals are all complementary. Fluffy towels and luxury bathroom (with toiletries) were very welcome. I loved how the whole treehouse is lit up at night with fairy lights, just so magical.
We did a day trip into oxford to the castle which was great fun, taking the park and ride just a short drive away.
And finally... Yaz the owner is great, instantly responding to queries and while he and his family live on site they are very discreet so you really do feel like you’ve escaped reality for a while!
We will definitely be back for another special holiday. Thanks for our stay!
