This is a true 5 star little retreat!
The cottage is lovely and snug yet has absolutely everything you could need inside.
Everything was of the highest quality from the super comfortable bed to the glassware.
The outside seating area is great and has fantastic views.
Turning up to a luxury hamper and champagne on ice set the standard for the rest of our stay.
It really did feel like a suite in a top 5 star hotel.
We were lucky to have lovely weather in October, we even saw dolphins on the beach! But it would also be the perfect place to spend time inside by the peat fire during the winter months.
It is a real sense of luxury.
We will absolutely be back!!

5 Star Accommodation 🌟
Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at beautiful Corrodale Cottage. The cottage has literally everything that one could possibly need, the king size bed was super comfortable & we loved relaxing in the jacuzzi tub after a days hiking.
Arriving to chilled champagne and a luxury hamper was fantastic - Katie has thought of everything and having access to a washer/dryer at the end of a long tour of Skye & the Outer Hebrides was super helpful.
100% recommend Corrodale Cottage as a base to explore the Uists and nearby area.

Beautiful inside and out
This cottage is so beautiful and well-equipped with an amazing welcome hamper full of Hebridean goodies, this prompted us to seek out the Kallin shellfish shop to re-stock. The cottage is a fantastically renovated Crofters cottage furnished to a very high standard. Its compact size is made up for by the large second building with freezer and washer/dryer which is secure and a good place for the suitcases and wet walking boots. We had our own Oystercatcher digging in the large garden and a regular Short-Eared Owl visitor, plus lots of other birds in the adjacent fields. it is very centrally located for visiting the Uists, Benbecula and Barra. We had great service from Joanna at MacLennans supermarket who have a delivery service and Katie kindly put everything away for us. For a smaller shop the co-op just over the bridge is also good.

Stunning Renovation
We stayed here on our first week on the Uists and were delighted with our choice as we parked up. A beautiful renovation of a Blackhouse with all that you ever need inside. Lovely welcome from Katie on arrival with a wonderful welcome basket of goodies. This is a wonderful home in which to relax and use as a great base for touring the islands. We will be back staying here, the next time we are staying on the Uists. Thank you Glenn & Gail .........

A Beautiful, Cosy, Peaceful stay...even in the middle of a storm!
Where do we start?! We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Corradale cottage. We booked as somewhere to relax after a hectic year and as part of our honeymoon staycation and we couldn't have got anywhere better!
We arrived late at night and came in to the roaring fire, chilled champagne and a basket FULL of local goodies. We felt at home right away. The cottage is in the perfect spot for exploring all of the Uists - including seeing teh beautiful Eriskay ponies! It is so well equipped. The ehated drying room was perfect for drying off our clothes as we came in from the rain and 101mph winds to relax in front of the fire.
We would (and already have!) highly recommend Corrodale cottage to everyone!

Beautiful cottage
Simply the most beautiful and well equipped holiday cottage you will ever find. Outstanding hospitality from Katie - we arrived to a lit peat fire, chilled champagne, langoustines, scallops and many other goodies in the fridge. An exceptional location from which you can easily explore all the way from Berneray to Vatersay. Most amazing beaches, loch side and hill walks, wildlife (dolphins, golden eagles, sea eagles, sea otters, seals, wild ponies). Highly recommend.

Amazing cottage
Had an amazing week in Corrodale Cottage, South Uist. Though the weather was mixed we still enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, cosy cottage. Katie had thought of everything and the wonderful welcome pack and champagne on ice were much appreciated. A trip to Barra is highly recommended!

A perfect bolt hole.
We arrived at 9.30pm after a full day travelling and were greeted by Katie who made us feel very welcome. After supplying us with all essential information Katie then gave us some tips on good walks and places to go fishing.
We were delighted to find a bottle of champagne on ice and a basket of goodies in the fridge, we were very hungry so made a start on it straight away.
The cottage is probably the best one we have ever stayed in. Although small the renovation of this cottage has made very good use of the space, all mod cons and a high degree of comfort. We were spending our holiday cycling, walking and fishing so arrived with a lot of gear which would normally take up a lot of space in our accommodation but we were delighted to see that we had use of a separate building which housed the washing machine and freezer. This building had a heater and was also secure, a very good facility.
The garden was an ideal place for us to have our barbecue, a lovely decked area complete with stone table, such a peaceful tranquil place.
The area is stunning, ideal for walking, cycling and generally getting away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
A well stocked shop just a short drive away and also some good eating places if you do not fancy cooking. The cottage is perfect in every way both in location and level of comfort.

A beautiful totally renovated traditional cottage, decorated and appointed with great love and care.
We had a fabulous stay for a week at the cottage, Katie and John have made a lovely holiday cottage with great facilities - modern bathroom with free standing bath and luxury shower, comfortable living room with peat burning stove which gets the room toastie hot in 20 minutes, fine very comfortable new four poster bed with lovely linen - we slept very well! All spotlessly clean and very well thought out.
They showed marvellous hospitality - helping us sort out our travel plans when the Mallaig ferry was cancelled, and arranging a lift from our new arrival place to the cottage.
Much to see locally or a short drive away - beautiful beaches, lochs, mountains. We spent the week going for walks and exploring South Uist.
Its a short drive (10 mins) to the well stocked local supermarket which is open everyday - until 10pm.

The self catering cottage is only minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean. There are stunning white sandy beaches within walking distance stretching for 20 miles along the west coast of South Uist. The Hebridean island of South Uist really is the idyllic escape from urban living. The village of Iochdar is located in a quiet crofting community situated on the north end of South Uist, making it the ideal location for exploring North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist, Berneray, Eriskay and Barra.
Getting around
The cottage is surrounded by a profusion of wildlife, the rasping call of the elusive corncrake can be heard from the doorstep from April onwards. The Golden eagle, cornbunting, short eared owls, hen harriers, seals and otters as well as a wide variety of native species can be seen here in one of the worlds most pristine environments. It is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the peaceful and scenic surroundings in this wonderful archipelago.
Whether it is a romantic getaway or a Hebridean adventure that is desired our Uist Holiday Cottage has something to offer everyone for their self catering Outer Hebrides Holiday
