Bluebell Lodge is a lovely wooden chalet set in large garden with stunning views over the sea and across the Sound of Mull. Located on the hillside in the crofting village of Kilchoan, Bluebell Lodge is ideally situated to explore the charming village and the beautiful Ardnamurchan countryside around it. Nice place but could tell it was quite old and tired in places but everything was there we needed for self catering and the wood burner was fantastic! The garden is great and the view lovely. Could do with a new kitchen and bathroom. We have rented holiday properties loads of times in Scotland and came from one of them the week before this. We paid a little more for it but not much and we have stayed there 3 times! For the price we paid for Chris's Ranch we would have expected the rental cost to have included electric and towels/bedding. We knew this beforehand though. The small bedroom smelt a little damp as did the bathroom. Nothing we felt we should have complained about though. We enjoyed our week there.

We went here for a week before Christmas and had a great time. The weather was extremely wet and windy so we only managed a few outings, but were quite content with sitting in with the fire going playing games! It's in a lovely location with great view and plenty of nearby walks. The cottage stayed surprisingly warm considering it's only a log thick, though we did keep the fire well-stocked!
Hopefully next time we go we will get some better weather so we can do some more exploring!
