This outstanding seven-bedroom freestanding home on Colwyn Drive in Sheffield Beach is one of Luxury Coastal Escapes' favourite. This holiday home sits on a huge double plot with the garden running straight onto the beach and incredible sea views from every room in the house.
The main house is made up of seven bedrooms - three of which are upstairs and a further four downstairs. The entertaining space is all open plan with a large state of the art kitchen, separate scullery, two dining areas, lounge and TV area. All this entertaining space flows out on to a wooden deck with a rim-flow pool, braai area, further soft seating and table and chairs for al-fresco dining.
10 mins drive from local shops and restaurants and 20 minutes drive from the New King Shaka International Airport.

The accommodation was stellar.
The home/villa has its own little private beach cove which is a rare find. The interior is spacious and very well thought out - it’s built in such way that it accommodates those that love being in the water. The space has its own helpers and DIY handyman whom assists whenever needed with anything related to the property. The property boasts a heated pool which is glorious for the colder nights. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen very well kitted. Something to note though is that the booking process is a little tedious as it’s the first time that I was asked my job description and guests employer etc. when booking any accommodation globally via any source however this is done to forward to the respective owners as the property is managed by a booking company. We appreciated the gesture of the welcome gift from the booking agents. It was an overall splendid experience. This is a place my friends, family and I will certainly return to.

About the neighbourhood
Just north of Salt Rock and virtually ten minutes from Ballito, is the beautiful beach of Sheffield with its sheltered coves and wonderful rock pools that invite little people to spend hours collecting shells and admiring sea anemones.
Renowned as one of the better fishing and diving spots on the Dolphin Coast, snorkelling here is a way of life, and if you want to know where to fish, just follow the local fishermen who head out here on a daily basis to partake of nature’s bounty.
There are certain spots on the beach that afford the most spectacular views of the coastline.
