It truly is the best house in the best location in Argyll, and we have just had another fun filled, fantastic and relaxing family holiday in this beautiful house and place. And, there are so many beautiful and interesting places to see in Argyll, that you are spoiled for choice.
Fearnach Bay House is always spotlessly clean everywhere, top to bottom, and all the appliances and equipment work. I can assure you that you need not worry about coronavirus here because the risk is zero. The owners, who live nearby, are meticulous about hygiene and maintaining their beautiful house to the highest standards. They are lovely genuine people who make everyone feel welcome and really care that guests enjoy their stay.
The house is warm, comfortable, light, airy and fresh with ample room for everyone and feels like a real home from home. It is also good value for money as it sleeps seven to eight people.
If you would like to see the real Scotland without hordes of tourists, come here to Fearnach Bay House. You will not be disappointed. It is on a private estate, on a tarmac, single track, dead end road, but it is not isolated. You can walk in the beautiful hills behind the house and fish for mackerel from the red dingy in Loch Melfort, the sea loch in front of the house.
Nature is all a round and you do not have to leave the house to see it. From the bay window you can watch gannets patrol the loch and then dive into the loch for fish and if you sit quietly with the lights out you will usually see the pine martin skirt the beech hedge and cross the lawn most evenings around 20.45. And from the glazed door to the patio you can see buzzards and last year we also saw a white tailed, eagle.
We are a family of three generations, eight, in total, including two teenagers and this has been our fourth successive year of enjoying a wonderful relaxing and fun holiday here. We are not the only “returners” either there are many and some have been coming back for much longer than us, as the Visitors Book will attest and one person’s recent entry simply said: THIS IS THE BEST HOUSE IN SCOTLAND. PERIOD! The capital letters and exclamation mark are theirs’ and ‘period’ was in bold. Everyone, of all ages, really love it and you will too. That is a promise.
