It is a lovely place. We had a very nice stay when we were up for our wedding. Will love to come back again after Corona, when we can bring some friends.

An excellent cottage
We had a lovely week at Heath Cottage. The coronavirus precautions were amazing and the cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our dog loved the freedom of the enclosed garden and lots of walks in the woods beyond.

Very comfortable, extremely spacious - get it booked.
Heath Cottage is in a great location, quiet and peaceful yet near local amenities in the village and Aviemore only 10 minutes away. It is very well furnished and had everything you could want to make it feel like home, which it did very quickly. It is very spacious inside and has a great kitchen. It was always nice and warm with the generous storage heaters.
The sun room is a great addition and looks out onto the garden and forest which is nice when eating in there. The hosts were really helpful and responded to queries quickly.
I would thoroughly recommend Heath Cottage for a stay in the Cairngorms and will likely be back again there myself.

All we needed
Great house with own private fenced garden with a wood through the back gate. Wonderful to be allowed to take our dog. Property clean and comfortable and plenty of room. Perfectly situated for visiting Rothiemurchus and all it has to offer and the Cairngorm mountains for walking. We will go again

Excellent best cottage ever stayed in
This was by far the best standard cottage I've stayed in. The furnishings and decor were of a high standard. It was perfect location for those interested in wildlife. We spent quite a few hours during our stay walking in the forest behind the cottage. Lots of birds and squirrels. Within a 40 mins radius of cottage was nature and beautiful scenery.

Ideal cottage for a family stay
Just had a wonderful stay in Boat of Garten, at Heath cottage. The cottage was warm, comfortable and very equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. As a family of four, there was plenty of space but the cottage can comfortably fit a slightly larger group. It was a great bonus having books, DVDs, and games for the family. The location is ideal, backing onto the woods and making an ideal base for cycle rides and walks. Also, very convenient having the shop just across the road, Anderson's restaurant a few doors away and the Boat Hotel within an easy stroll. Nick and Heather could not have been more welcoming and ensured that we had all we needed for our stay. Any queries were dealt with quickly and without any trouble. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great place to stay - warm - very well equipped
The cottage was clean, warm and very well equipped. We have stayed in the area many times in different cottages and Heath Cottage is by far the best. It is almost certain we will book the cottage again at a later date and we would not hesitate in recommending it to a friend. Lovely to be able to walk straight to the woods, River Spey and the steam railway. Handy shop two minutes away and food and drink at the hotel at the end of the road.

Lovely cottage in a lovely part of the country.
Cosy cottage with everything you could want for a great break. Local walking and golf are some of the best in the country. Owners friendly and helpful. Red squirrels, deer, ptarmigan, snow bunting, mountain hares and dozens of grouse - not a bad haul for a ten mile hike!

Marvellous stay for 2 weeks :-)
Quiet, peaceful and cosy - words which are perfect to describe the cottage and the surrounding. A perfect place to retreat and to relief from all-days stress.
The cottage was equipped with everything you need for your stay and the hosts, Nick and Heather, were exceedingly helpful.
Listen to the twitter of the birds in the garden and the nearby woods and - of course to the whistles of the Strathspey Railway Steam Engines.
And don't forget to visit Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore and Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig/Kingussy. Both is worth the visit.

Perfect break
Second time we’ve stayed at Heath cottage with 3 of our granchildren. It is a lovely bungalow which is very well equipped. Through the garden, which backs onto woodland, the kids had an easy walk to the local playground. Lots to do in the vicinity - Landmark, Highland Wildlife Park, Newtonmore heritage park and the steam train which stops at Boat of Garten to replenish its water tank.
Unless you need to buy outdoor gear, there is no need to go to congested Aviemore. A supermarket trip to Granton on Spey is much better and is hardly any further away.
