This stone-built ground floor detached cottage is situated in a splendid rural location, just a ten minute walk from the delightful village of Middleton-in-Teesdale and can sleep two people in one double bedroom.Shepherds Cottage is a stone-built detached cottage situated in a splendid rural location, on the edge of a small camping park and just a ten minute walk from the delightful village of Middleton-in-Teesdale and can sleep two people in one double bedroom. There is a separate shower room. The rest of this ground floor cottage contains an open plan living area with galley kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside of the property there is off road parking for one car and a patio area with furniture and a barbecue. Off road parking for 1 car. Patio with picnic bench. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and village centre 10 min walk. Note: The two acre field is used for campers during the summer months, the nearest pitch is 50 yards from the cottage and there is some screening to that side of the cottage on the patio area and the caravan park is 100 yards away in the adjoining field. Note: The river bank is 200 yards from the cottage. Note: The owner of the site provides 1000 yards of free fishing on the River Tees (guests must have own rod licence), please contact owner at the site reception for more information. Region: From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer? We booked it for 50th Birthday fishing trip. When we arrived on site we were greeted by Grandma who gave us our instructions. When we entered the property it was very quaint, we loved it. The site facilities were immaculate, as was our cottage. As...More

Lovely,cosy cottage in a stunning peaceful location. Provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. Fantastic walks on the doorstep, especially along the river. We will definitely be returning.
