The cottage itself was immaculate and really well looked after, It was like a home from home. Jane was very welcoming and also great with the children. The location itself is...

One of the most comfortable and well equipped holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. We received a very warm welcome from Jane, and found a delicious home made cake awaiting us on the tea tray. The cottage was in the perfect location for exploring Upper Teasdale and had beautiful views not to mention the lovely sunsets. This was our...

Management response:

Teesdale is the most southerly of the Durham Dales. The white farmhouses and barns of The Raby Estate are a distinctive element in the landscape of Upper Teesdale.
Middleton in Teesdale is the 'capital' of the upper dale with all the amenities one would expect from a historic market town.

Upper Teesdale is home to some of Britain's rarest wildlife and grassland habitats and England's biggest waterfall - High Force.
Other local attractions include the magnificent Bowes museum, Raby Castle, Egglestone Hall Gardens.
The local reservoirs and rivers are renowned for the quality of their fishing and day pa...
