Beautifully kept 41 foot Skippered Bavaria sailing yacht located at Poros on the east coast of Kefalonia. Approximately 1 hour from Kefalonia airport.

Your skipper is fully licencsed and insured and vetted by the Greek Marine Authorities, and has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the area.

We went for a day’s boat trip last Tuesday 15th September and were introduced to Ray and David when we arrived. They were very friendly and made us feel totally at ease. We visited a beautiful bay and enjoyed swimming and stunning scenery. My two children 19 and 22 tried paddle boarding and both loved it. Lunch was delicious and plenty of it. We would thoroughly recommend you booking a trip with them. The whole family had a great day.

Wonderful experience
By Chance we ran into Ray who promised us a great day on the sea.
And yes, he should be right!! Kefalonia is such a different experience from the sea! And Ray knows the surrounding pretty well. The bays where we stopped for a swim were of the most beautiful I have ever seen!
And then they took so great care of us by constantly offering us drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Lunch was also very tasteful with vegetables, meat, topped by a fresh greek salad with olives from Rays garden.
This day couldn't have been any better! Thanks so much!

Highly recommend
My cousin and I had seen this boat trip on the TUI app, but unfortunatley the reps did not tell us about it. After getting the trip up on the app and showing them they then allowed us to book it.
We arrived at 9am at the port and after a short wait we're greeted by Steve who cheerfully welcomed us on board where we met Ray.
Both men were very professional and very very friendly and kind. We felt very welcome and safe. We were told what the day would entail before setting off.
The stops were all Beautiful, and only accessible by boat, absolutely breathtaking. We were offered snorkels and masks and I even made a fool of myself trying to paddle board.
We were served lunch on the boat with spectacular views of the islands.
Steve and Ray felt more like our friends as we all chatted away sharing stories and laughing together.
I would highly recommend this trip, and would do it again.
Thank you Ray and Steve for a spectacular day, one I will never forget.

Perfect day trip.
We had a day trip with Ray on his yacht and had a great time. We stopped at 3 bays for swimming snorkeling and lunch. It was all very relaxing and if Im back this way would go out again. Highly recommended.

The most magical day
My family and I loved every second of this magical trip around kefalonia.Beautiful untouched beaches and tranquil waters.Ray and Steve make this day one I will remember forever to a point I want go on the mala for a longer trip next year.

Magical
We have just got back from a days sail with Steve and Ray and what a magical day we have had! Stunning scenery, great food, excellent company and a beauty of a boat in the Mala.
Steve and Ray were wonderful hosts and made you feel welcome the moment you stepped on board. They are very experienced skippers, full of knowledge and they took us on a fabulous journey to see the sights of kefalonia’s coastline. Nothing was too much for either of them and they really made the whole day extra special.
If you want a true kefalonia experience, then we would highly recommend Ray and his team.

Amazing day at sea!
Together with my family we went on a day cruise with Ray and Steve from Poros to Ithaka and back. Without spoiling anything it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. We've been well looked after and the mixture of cruising / swimming + other water based activities will stay in our memories forever!

A day we will never forget
We spent a day aboard Mala with Ray & Steve. We have two young kids aged 3 and 5 and were taken care of from before we stepped on the boat until we drove off in our car. Ray and Steve are clearly experienced skippers. We cruised between several and beaches, ate and drank like royalty and swam in some of the most pristine waters I have ever seen, all while our children were safe and thoroughly entertained.
If you're looking for a true Kefalonia experience, not a tourist trap, this is the way to go. I highly recommend and will be back for a longer trip as soon as possible.

Truly amazing week
I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive about booking a week of sailing – none of us had ever sailed before, would our 3 children (aged 17, 16 and 13) drive us and each other mad being in a confined space for a week, how on earth would they cope without social media?? I did lots of research, contacted a couple of companies, and decided upon Sail Kefalonia due to Ray’s prompt and friendly responses, reasonable prices and such positive reviews from families on Trip Advisor. I’m so glad we took the plunge and booked, the whole family agree that it was the most fantastic week. Upon meeting Ray and Steve I felt we were in safe hands, and they made us feel so welcome. Mala is Ray’s pride and joy and kept immaculately. We sailed to Ithaca, Meganisi, Paleros (on the Greek mainland) Sivoto, Aghia Effimia and ended out trip in Poros.
Every morning began with a delicious breakfast of Greek yoghurt, peaches, walnuts and honey. Cereals were available and Ray had even contacted me prior to our trip to ask if there any specific cereals or drinks our children liked so he could get them in for us. Granola was requested by one of my sons which apparently is not easily sourced in Kefalonia but Ray’s wife Nikki still managed to find some for him. After breakfast we’d head off to coves with crystal clear turquoise waters for a swim stop. Ray found us some amazing snorkeling spots where we’d draw the many fish in by feeding them bread. We paddle boarded every day, even I could stand up by the end of the week, and we fished. We were always greeted back onto the yacht with a delicious lunch, sometimes a stir fry, other days potato salad with salmon, but always plentiful and served with beer, wine and soft drinks. We all had a go at the helm and raising the sails. Whilst on our travels we saw dolphins, flying fish and even a sword fish leaping out of the water.
We’d head to picturesque harbours for the evening where Ray recommended some great restaurants. Both Ray & Steve are keen guitar players and singers – the memory of our harbour sing-off with a nearby yacht after we’d all had a few drinks still makes me smile. And the jokes are never far away.
If you’re thinking of booking a sailing holiday then I can wholeheartedly recommend Sail Kefalonia. The Ionian Islands are idyllic, but it’s Ray & Steve’s knowledge of the area, kindness and great company that really made this holiday so much fun and special.

Amazing, unforgetable holiday
My family and I (two adults and two children, aged 15 and 9) sailed with Ray onboard Mala, August 16th to 23rd 2019. Whilst my son and I sail dinghy’s at home (novices) it doesn’t compare to a luxurious yacht sailing in beautiful warm weather, through turquoise seas. I was concerned that my children (being phone/internet obsessed) would become bored but everyone absolutely loved the experience.
Right from the start, Skipper Ray and first-mate Steve made us feel welcome and comfortable. We had lots of entertainment and the camaraderie between the two friends is wonderful.
We felt completely safe and at ease. Ray is highly experienced and an excellent sailor with detailed knowledge of the Ionian “in-land sea”.
We stayed in picture perfect harbours with good amenities. The taverna’s and restaurants where very reasonable priced and the food was delicious. The boat is well equipped and comfortable. The paddle board was great fun and I was delighted to master the technique within minutes (Steve might tell you otherwise).
Ray and Steve made wonderful breakfasts and lunches (whilst we swam in secluded bays).
Whilst we excepted problems with mosquitoes, we didn’t see any all week long (big bonus if you’re prone to getting bit).
I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone wanting a little more than a boring villa can offer.
