Interaction with guests
We will be on hand in the morning to provide you with a breakast of croissants, juice, freshly-brewed coffee and a selection of teas and can advise you on your itinerary, if you would like any information on local attractions, sites and restaurants. As the Chateau has three salons, two floors and 8 1/2 acres of parkland, there is plenty of space to relax, undisturbed, or interact with us, or our other guests, should you wish. In the eveing, we will most likely be about. If you fancy an aperitif, we have an honesty bar, with lovely local tipples and we will happily prepare our speciality of hot-butterd rum for you, which is an excellent accompaniement to star-gazing on the Montvason steps.

About the neighbourhood
The Chateau is nestled in the midst of the bocage (pasture-land), therefore you are not overlooked and it is extremely peaceful, save for the birdsong and our family of owls and the usual sounds of the country. There are lots of lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. The nearest beach is only 15 minutes drive away. Sauxemesnil and Ruffosses are our local villages, with a boulangerie, cafe and restaurant and a small convenience store. Valognes is a little further away and is a lovely, old historic town, with a larger supermarket and plenty of resturants, banks and shops.
Getting around
As we are in the french countryside, the easiest way to get around is by car. Alternatively, you can bring a bicycle.
