Downstairs -The kitchen, living area and dining area are all situated downstairs. -The covered verandah is equipped with dining table and benches -An additional TV room with sliding doors to garden -Guest toilet -Pool with loungers– The pool is fitted with a safety net making the home suitable for young children. -Sun filled garden with trampoline -There is a secure double garage for two cars with direct access to the home. Upstairs: -Main bedroom with king size bed, walk in closet and ensuite bathroom. Magnificent mountain views! -Bedroom 2 & 3 both have queen beds and share a bathroom -Bedroom 4 with queen size bed, ensuite bathroom and covered verandah with ping pong table. Guest interaction We will hand over the keys and leave you to enjoy your stay, however, we will be available to address any queries or concerns. Our wonderful housekeeper, works at the home Mondays - Fridays to help with cleaning and laundry. She is extremely reliable and trustworthy. There is a gardener who services the garden and pool once a week. Neighborhood overview LOCATION: This house is centrally located with top local experiences a short drive away, such as Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cavendish Square Shopping Centre, Top schools, Constantia Wine Route, Newlands Cricket grounds, Restaurants & Bars. Easy access to Cape Town’s CBD & the V&A Waterfront. The start of the Constantia wine route is a few kilometers away A short drive to the best beaches Cape Town has to offer ENVIRONMENTAL / SCENIC World famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Newlands Forest are a short 7-minute drive away. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases the Cape Floral Kingdom,the most species-rich on earth and South Africa’s varied biomes. A staggering aerial tree-canopy walkway is just one of its many attractions, which also include open-air concerts on the lawns in summer. SPORTING Our house is close to Newlands Cricket and Rugby stadiums which both host a variety of local and international and test fixtures seasonally. There are also top-rated urban Golf courses 15-20 minutes away. SHOPPING -The house is close to the major shopping hub of Claremont. Its most well-known retail centre is the upmarket Cavendish Square Shopping Centre which is a short 5-minute drive away), which offers exclusive local and global outlets that offer everything from designer apparel and accessories to top local design, interior, travel, IT, foreign exchange outlets and more. -Easy access to Cape Town’s CBD and the V&A Waterfront – 15 minute ENTERTAINMENT - Suburban Cape town boasts entertainment galore. -The Baxter Centre (8 minutes drive) hosts top drama, dance, music and comedy. -Maynardville Open-air Theatre (10 minutes drive) presents annual Shakespeare and ballet seasons in January/ February. -Kirstenbosch’s Summer concerts offer top local/global music acts on its lawns from November to end-March. Locally made art, crafts and gifts are for sale. An art-lovers ‘must- see’. EDUCATION: Close to Cape Town’s top schools such as Bishops, Western Province Preparatory School, SACS, Rondebosch Boys School, Herschel and Springfield Convent. Getting around I would advise having your own car, however you can also UBER everywhere. UBER taxis is readily available and a popular way for locals to get around. If you don't have a car we would recommend using UBER taxis as they are safe and efficient and easy to get in the area Parking is available should you be travelling by car. Other things to note This house is located in Upper Claremont, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. It’s 18km (17 minutes) from Cape Town International Airport.
