East View Cottage combines the comforts of modern living with the charm and character of a country cottage.It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard whilst retaining many original features.These include exposed original beams and original Derbyshire gritstone fireplace and open fire. The cottage has its own private garden with barbecue and furniture for those lazy summer days.

The cottage is the ideal base for exploring many attractions of the Peak District, an area of outstanding beauty. There is excellent walking from the doorstep with a host of other outdoor pursuits available. There are several excellent pubs in the vicinity, all of which provide excellent food.

Well, firstly the view were stunning. The cottage wasreally well appointed....the kitchen had everything that was needed, the sitting room was lovely and cosy, the bed was oh so comfortable, and the bathroom was 'small, but perfectly formed'. There had been some negative reviews about the tv and the parking.....when we wanted to watch tv it was absolutely fine. Ok,...

We spent 3 nights at this beautiful cottage this week. It has a very well equipped large kitchen and spacious lounge with a comfy 2-seater settee and 2 armchairs. The stone fireplace is a real feature and created a romantic atmosphere for a late evening in on our 47th wedding anniversary. The size of the television is more than adequate,...

About the neighbourhood
Visit the nearby market town of Bakewell which has an excellent selection of shops, tea rooms, good pubs and restaurants. Market day is Monday.<BR>The scenic viewpoint of Monsal Head is just up the road,before you reach the village of Ashford in the Water set on the River Wye. Both are on the road to Bakewell.<BR>Castleton is approx a 10 minute drive from Wardlow. On a hill overlooking Castleton is the ancient Peveril Castle, and the village has 4 underground show caves which are all worth a visit.<BR>Eyam is a 5 minuite drive from Wardlow and is one of the best preserved villages in the vicinity.
