The Isle of Anglesey may be small but the list of activities is endless. Within a short drive from the cottage is one of the most spectacular beaches on the island at Rhosneigr with lots of water activities, wake boarding, kite surfing, kayaking, sailing, to name just a few. Rhosneigr has plenty of great eateries, shops and bars.
If sport is your passion, with over five premium golf courses, go karting at Cartio Mon, motorsports at Anglesey Circuit, numerous equestrian centres, fishing and water sports galore.
Travelling further afield, but only a short drive, across either of the two bridges connecting Anglesey to the rest of North Wales you are in the Snowdonia National Park, home to Snowdon.
Getting around
Travelling further afield, but only a short drive, across either of the two bridges connecting Anglesey to the rest of North Wales you are in the Snowdonia National Park, home to Snowdon the highest mountain in England and Wales. The vastness of Eryri (Snowdonia) the land of the eagles with its mountain passes, once guarded by the legions of Rome, is spectacular. You can still see the remains of the roman fort’ at Caernarfon. This royal town with its remarkable castle along with Beaumaris forms part of Edward 1st ring of fortresses which includes no fewer than ten castles of which seven including Conwy with its walled market town, can be found in north Wales. Equally impressive are the Welsh castles at Criccieth, Dolbadarn and Dolwyddelan.
