Our house is located in Lofer in the Salzburger Land (Austria) and is only about five to seven minutes walk from the center of Lofer or from the Talstaton der Lofereralmbahnen. In the immediate vicinity of our house, you can start in the wide-ranged hiking and walking paths of Lofer and the surrounding area. We can offer you a wonderful view of the massif of the Loferer Steinberge. In 2015, our house was equipped with two newly furnished apartments. This apartment "Steinbergblick" is located on the first floor of our house, it has two double rooms (each with shower / WC) where a double room on the same floor can be reached via the corridor. The municipalities Lofer, St. Martin bei Lofer, Weissenbach and toads are in the middle of the Alps, the massif of the Lofer and Leogang mountains. Starting from the northern part of the central Pinzgau, the valley stretches nearly to the 70 km and is a very important tourist region in the province of Salzburg. Further south is the Zeller basin with the district capital Zell am See and Saalfelden, Leogang and the opposite side of Maria Alm. To the west we border the Kitzbühel lowlands with St. Johann and Kitzbuehel. North-east is the small German corner with Bad Reichenhall, a well-known spa town and the famous Berchtesgaden.
How to get there
Access by car: motorway A8 Munich - Salzburg, exit Siegsdorf / Traunstein on German Alpine Road, the former border crossing Steinpaß (tunnel) to toads and on to Lofer. West motorway A1 Vienna - Salzburg, exit Wals / Lofer on federal highway 1 and 312 to Unken and on to Lofer. Traveling by train: Salzburg (48 km to Lofer) Bad Reichenhall Train Station (about 26 km to Lofer) Saalfelden train station (about 24 km from Lofer) Arriving by plane: (Airport Salzburg WA Mozart about 38 km to Lofer)
