Ground Floor The generous open plan living area boasts high beamed ceilings and archway, befitting of the stonework walls. High quality pieces of furniture such as the curved sofa and state of the art kitchen harmoniously combine contemporary design with traditional features.The sleek indoor dining table seats 10 and extends from the kitchen island, enhancing the experience of social dining and patio doors lead directly to the exterior dining area and BBQ facilities, with its exquisite hand made table. Two master ensuite bedrooms can be found on the ground floor. Bold and luxurious in design, each room has a plush Queen size bed (1,80x2,00) and two seater sofa for additional comfort and privacy if desired. Patio doors lead to the garden beyond and a bespoke glass and iron wall separates the bedrooms from the ensuite bathrooms with their high quality fixtures and fittings. A WC is also available for communal use, with toilet and vessel sink, as well as a utility area with a washer/dryer and all helpful appliances to ensure a relaxing break. First Floor A completely autonomous space is reached via external stairs which lead to a large open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen, dining table and living room. Classic design blends with the mix of stone and plaster walls and beamed ceiling. The living room is defined by large pieces of comfortable seating, open fireplace and window seat that beckons you to the view beyond. The 65” Smart TV with Netflix and PS5 makes it the ideal spot for movie watchers or gamers, while the office area allows for some quiet time to catch up on emails with arguably the best office view in Crete. A large pergola on the balcony creates shade for a light afternoon nap in the hammock or meal at the 10 seater dining table which offers another perspective over the majestic view and an awe inspiring sunset. A further two double bedrooms with Queen size beds (1,80 x 2,00), 45” TV (one smart TV, one with Satellite) and sea view are located on the first floor. The bedrooms share one good sized bathroom which is easily accessible to both. A spiral staircase leads to the ‘penthouse’ bedroom with a sloped, attic style roof, 1,80 x 2,00 bed and panoramic views offered by the surrounding windows. A walk-in wardrobe and ensuite jacuzzi bath add to the opulence. Outdoor Area The 3500 sq. m. outdoor area is simply stunning. Lush grassed lawns are dotted with trees and plants while impressive palm trees line the bay below adding yet another tropical note. With its vast outdoor area and plenty of seating, one can enjoy independence when desired but also take part in relaxing in the spa, being active on a SUP board or running around the grassed lawn with a football. The outdoor facilities include: - 55 m2 private swimming pool (1,5 - 2,5m depth) with ladder access.The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge, upon request for entire stay. The pool area is equipped with deluxe sun beds, umbrellas and an outdoor shower. - Outdoor spa area with a 4 seater hot tub, wooden sauna, an extra shower plus a relaxing sitting area with view of the palm trees and the sea. - Comfortable outdoor seating area and dining table for 10 under the pergola will offer you an unforgettable alfresco dining experience. - Broil King gas barbecue and outdoor sink will allow you to prepare your homemade meals - Snorkelling equipment, a SUP board, ping pong table and football nets will keep our young guests entertained. The large lawned gardens are also ideal for the children to play. - Sun beds for the “private beach” beach area are also provided for our guests. - The villa driveway provides space for 4 cars to park inside the grounds and, if necessary, more outside the grounds. - Boat dock at the beach with a seaside seating area under the shade of a pergola, featuring a stone built seating area and coffee tables. - 8m rib boat available for hire at an extra charge (with skipper and only during the afternoon hours) - Private diving lessons or private water sports can be arranged to take place at the villa’s beach (with an additional fee). Villa Lygia ... simply amazing!!
Our family had the most the fabulous time at the Villa Lygia, the accommodation was 'Rock Star' luxury ,with the gardens stretching down to a small calm secluded beach! The locals were lovely, the family owners of the villa were the wonderful, as was Agi who helped at the Villa and the agent Etouri. Thank you all, for the most amazing holiday!!! Perfect and 10 stars , not 5!!

Stunning setting, stunning villa, stunning pool, stunning private beach, stunning views.
From the moment you arrive at Villa Lygia, you know you've made the right choice. I looked at around a 60 villas online and everything came with a compromise...not near enough to the sea, no views, too close to other properties, pool too small etc. This place sits alone in a spacious garden, has its own private beach, a large pool with drop-dead views of the sea and the mountains in the distance and all the amenities you need within easy reach. There's plenty of space in the villa for a party of 10 and the housekeeper is the kindest and sweetest person you'll ever meet. If you fancy a stroll, there's Mimi's Taverna a two minute walk up the road or a beach bar and public beach two minutes in the other direction. In the end, we chose to stay by the villa most of the time, as it's so beautiful. We also recommend asking the owner to take you out on their speed boat for a snorkel. Honestly, this place is really, really, special.

Incredible Ocean front home with amazing yard and amenities
Just and incredible trip all around. From the incredible service Etouri provided our whole stay and the first class quality of the home and location. Kostas and the whole team at Etouri were available 24/7 and went above and beyond for all of our needs. The home is newly renovated and everything is first class. The yard, pool, hot tub and nice private beach allowed us to soak our days at this incredible house. I cannot recommend this home more and hope to be back soon.

Villa Lygia is located on a small bay in Petres with beautiful waters and amazing landscape that will make your holiday unforgettable. The villa is located between 2 bigger bays in Petres, which is just a short drive west of Rethymno. There are 2 local tavernas and a beach bar that can be reached by foot from the villa. Kavros village is nearby and is the closest area for all the necessary facilities such as shops, mini markets, pharmacies, tavernas, restaurants and bars. Georgioupoli waterfront village is at the end of the long stretch of beach which extends from Episkopi and offers all kinds of shops, sandy beaches and a picturesque small church, reached via a rocky sea path.
Getting around
Villa Lygia is located in Petres, only a 20 minute drive from Rethymno town which has all the amenities you can require. The villa is within walking distance of tavernas and although directly on the beach, 2 further bays are within a few minutes walk.
