Sini Kiiruna, Blue Ptarmigan in English, is a lovely log cabin in the charming village of Äkäslompolo in Finnish Lapland. The cottage is in the Kaulavaara area in a quiet cul-de-sac, surrounded by a wooded area and within walking distance of the village centre and the safari and tour companies. In addition to the two main bedrooms there is an upstairs sleeping area which accommodates three single floor mattresses and is ideal for children. The surrounding area turns into a perfect snowy winter wonderland from late November to Late April each year. We also live in Äkäslompolo and are available to give advice, answer any questions, or help with tour booking etc. ...Sini Kiiruna, Blue Ptarmigan in English, is a lovely log cabin in the charming village of Äkäslompolo in Finnish Lapland. Lovely cabin, ideal for the 4 of us in our group. Sauna was perfect after each day out and about. Simon answered all our questions ahead of our stay.
