About the neighbourhood
Brens is a quiet and relaxing village making it an ideal base from which to visit the surrounding areas. Across the river is Gaillac a largish town that supports the surrounding areas with banks, supermarkets, hospital and business services. Gaillac has a lovely brick abbey, tourist office, museum, art museum located in a a very pleasant garden and a major market each Friday as well as a smaller market on Sundays. One of the special pleasures of staying in this area is the charm of provincial French people going about their lives free from tourist crowds.
How to get there
Brens is easily available by road from Toulouse, Rodez or Carcassonne airports. Toulouse connects with many European cities and is also used by budget airline Easyjet. Ryanair utilizes Rodez and Carcassonne for connections to Brussels, Oporto, Dublin and several airports in the UK Toulouse is also a major train station which connects with Gaillac the town across the Tarn river from Brens. Brens is also located within 5 minutes of exit 9 of the A68 autoroute.
