A golfer's paradise
The Old Course at St Andrews is one of the oldest golf courses in the world and one of the most iconic. Golfers have been putting, driving and wedging their way around this heathery course since the 15th century. If Wimbledon is the home of tennis then St Andrews is the home of golf. Past winners who’ve conquered its 18 holes include Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods.
Family fun
St Andrew’s is fantastic for families as the huge range of attractions means kids of all ages will be entertained. When the weather’s good, board the miniature train at Craigtoun Country Park, go rockpooling at Kingsbarn Beach or explore St Andrew’s castle. On a rainy day, marvel at the creatures of the deep in the aquarium or take a look around the British Golf Museum.
