Llandudno
Known as the "Queen of the Welsh Resorts", Llandudno in Conwy County sits on the Creuddyn peninsula and its gorgeous seafront is framed by two headlands. It has everything you’d expect from a classic seaside town: donkey rides on the beach, Punch and Judy shows, and a beautiful pier full of cafes, shops and bars. The pier, which has Grade II listed status, has been pleasing punters since the late 1800s and oozes classic charm. It’s no surprise that this popular resort is packed with choice when it comes to self-catering holiday rentals. From cottages near the coast to welcoming guest houses, Llandudno has it all.
Attractions aplenty
There really is something for everyone in Llandudno. If you’re after a fun-filled stay with the family, see the penguin parade at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, be the first to see the sea on Llandudno’s Great Orme Tramway or maybe have a go a tobogganing on the dry ski slope.
