Playa Blanca
This southernmost town of Lanzarote has a relaxed atmosphere and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. In fact, Playa Blanca means “white beach” in Spanish so expect white sand, azure water and golden sunshine.
Life’s a beach
Playa Blanca beach has a European Blue Flag for cleanliness and its central location means there are plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants to choose from. If you fancy a little retail therapy, you’ll find some great shops nearby too where you can stock up on sun-cream. It’s easy to spend many days here, topping up your tan and taking a dip from time to time.
Restaurants, cafés and nightlife
Cafe del Mar in the new Marina Rubicon is great for having a relaxing and watching the boats in the harbour. If tapas is sets your taste buds alight, you’ll find plenty of tempting places to eat. Many of the restaurants along the harbour host live music most nights of the week so you can dine while listening to some laid back jazz. There are some amazing seafood restaurants here too so be sure to check out the specials board for the finest catch of the day.
