Aloha-Husband & I planning first& lifetime dream trip Ireland May 3-15. Seek advice to help make most of time/budget (both limited!!). To know us might help advise: both 50ish, traveling without our 5 kids. We prefer B&B accm, small towns vs.cities, finding real people/regular life on travels. We love natural beauty, culture, music, history, art, food/drink,having great times! hawaii over run with tourism-we dislike commercialized things abt to that-but love to meet the people that come and try to help make their stay more authentic. hope to find same there.
Husband is Native Hawaiian- scholar/historian, author, speaker, pro singer/songwriter, recording artist, nationalist-activist, & Professor of Hawaiian Studies at the Univ of Hawaii-work conference in Waterford makes this visit possible. I am an Irish girl, born in US, raised in Hawaii-mom, social worker to elders, and hula dancer (when husb. performs).
Seeking tips/opportunities from locals & visitors experiences. tnx!
