Since Mar 2005

65+ year old male

Pismo Beach, Calif.

Central California native who explored both the Bay Area and Southern Califoria in high school and college. Drove 9,800 miles around the U.S. with three college buddies after a trip to the Mardi Gras. I didn't cross the Atlantic until I was in my early 40s and with a 10 year old son who could speak French. Prefer to rent a car and travel on my own schedule. Have been in publishing and advertising since college. In the spring of 2004 my wife and I spent Easter in Paris, then took train south to Nice where for Eurocar was waiting and spent a three days in Antibes with friends from Florida. Only used our bargain rentacar for three days exploring the Cote d' Azur. Jumped on a train to Savona where we picked up a VW Passat to drive 5 weeks through Italy to Sicily and back to Rome. Put 5,000 km on the VW. In May 2013 joined a couple on a planned driving trip through southern Ireland. Friends booked it. The last day found us too far from Dublin, that's why I don't like Tours.
