Lucky enough to travel for both work and leisure, I believe in good value for money (cheap does not amount to good value nor is top price any guarantee), variety, mix of activities and relaxation, inspirational places and people. AA Spiral guides are THE best travel guides out there, and I do not travel anywhere without them and checking the TripAdvisor. Every holiday should have a mixture of traditional experience (unique to that country/place), a treat of some sort, be it super pampery hotel stay or fabulous food and wine experience, the rest can be supplemented by trips to many wonderful markets and fresh fruit and veg stalls, amazing local produce, a picnic in a fab spot of nature. The best experiences on one´s travels often cost little, it is what one makes of the place. I am not a believer in "see the world in 16 days" - much prefer to stay in one small place and savour, if time is a constraint. World is an amazing place, and I cherish every day I am alive
